Flash & Flash Accessories / Using PHP with AS2.
January 13, 2011, 09:54:08 AM
I made a basic script for a contact form, which sends the fields to a stated email address. The only Actionscript is:

on (release) {
form.loadVariables("locationofphp.php", "POST");
}

The problem I'm having is this script works fine on multiple different email types (tested on Yahoo, Hotmail, Mail and Outlook) when the whole .swf is only one frame. However when this is placed onto something with more (I'm doing a small site, due to transitions, preloader etc. this contact form sits on frame 16) frames, the script stops working.

Does anyone know why this might be and is there a simple way to get around this? Putting it into a separate .swf isn't really an option due to the transitions and navigation. Thanks in advance for any help. :)

Flash & Flash Accessories / Embedding videos
January 10, 2011, 05:38:22 PM
Haii Clock Kru.

Just a quick one, other than YouTube (because the players looks totally pants) do any of you know any other video hosting sites which embed into Flash (AS2) without too much hassle?

Making a website for the missus: http://www.retailersupplies.co.uk/lo/index.html

The showreel needs a video when it's finished. Thanks y'all.

Flash & Flash Accessories / AS2 galleries
September 30, 2010, 12:22:12 PM
Does anyone know of any good sites for Flash resources? I'm looking for a fairly innovative Flash gallery for a site, Flashkit is pretty crap and there was nothing that caught any attention (in AS2 anyway) on FFiles (great site for free Flash files btw). Even if you just know a site with nice looking galleries, anything to help me settle on a layout is greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Saw an example the other day. The trailer to the new Harry Potter went straight to a black screen with a red marque declaring 'HARRY POTTER IS GAY TWILIGHT IS MUCH BETTER', something close to that anyway.

I'd like to see this is action, bet the lights look really funky when it's got some speed behind it. Personally, I'm saving my money for when they finally develop speeder bikes.

Gaming & Technology / Getting more hits?

Are there any useful interactive elements that I could add, like comments boxes, rating stars, polls? Not sure how practical these kind of things will be to improve return rates.

Also new PS painting added.

I'm a big Doors fan so me and some friends set out to find Jim Morrison's grave when we were in France which involves travelling to the outer-city.

That day we had two fights with random french gangs and had to run away from a crack dealer with a knife in a subway station.

Fuck Paris.

Did you get to Père Lachaise? CucumberClock went a couple of years ago.
