Sorry for the messy pic, I'm running out of room in this place.

I've wanted a Dreamcast since I was a kid since I was addicted to that sonic adventure game they had on demo in all the Toys R Us'. I finally managed to grab one for pretty cheap, with only one problem: The only games i have for it right now are Virtua tennis and Tony hawk pro skater .

I also saw on eBay these CD's that supposedly allow your Dreamcast to play imported games. Are there any import DC games worth buying this for?

My current to-buy list is, as of now:

Skies of arcadia
Dino crisis
Seaman (this looks totally fucked up)
Time stalkers
Sonic adventures 2
Star wars episode 1 racer
Vigilate 8 2nd offense
Resident evil 3
Demolition racer: no exit
Shenmue

I'm having an issue turning on Full mode on the main bbs page. Works fine in all subforums, threads and all, but when on the main overview, "full mode" redirects me to a blank page entitled 'B'.

Edit: not fixed. It works sometimes.

CTV in a little over an hour. Followed by a Charlie sheen roast. This should be interesting, wonder if Kutcher will be any good. :fez:

If I enter a forum and click on a bold ( new posts ) thread, read it and go back to the main forum, the subforum title is still displayed in bold as if there'd be a new post. You enter it, and no new posts in any of the threads. If you go to the main page again after this, it clears up and doesn't appear bold anymore.

Also, there should be a way to redirect you from a thread to the proprietary subforum directly ( without needing the main page between each ).

Cooking & Food / Jerk seasoning
September 13, 2011, 12:15:52 PM
You like your shit spicy? REALLY spicy?

Jerk seasoning. This is particularly amazing with chicken. Slap some around your chicken before cooking, and after it's done, go ahead and rub some more on there. It also works GREAT on pizza.

The Jamaica Sun brand is the best jerk I've tasted so far btw.

It's only just started (3 episodes in today), but I'm still looking forward to the next episodes. It's pretty funny, it's plenty gory, and just all-around goofy. In a fun way.

Entertainment / How to install a Killswitch in your guitar
September 12, 2011, 12:17:38 AM
Hey clocks! Since so many of you are guitar players as well, I figured I'd see if anybody is curious about installing a killswitch in their guitar. It's an extremely cool feature that comes standard on very few guitars, and that I personally wished more people would experiment with. Typically, your pickup's signal will always end with: VOLUME --> OUTPUT. By putting the switch in between ( VOLUME --> SWITCH -->OUTPUT), you create a simple way to completely cut all contact between the two rapidly and rythmically.

Here's what the finished product will sound like (yes, that is me):

Introduction

A killswitch ( a simple momentary push button SPDT switch ) should be installed after the volume potentiometer and before the output . Ideally, you would drill an extra hole (about 1/4 inch depending on your switch dimensions) and place it in your spot of liking over the control cavity. Of course, drilling a hole into an expensive guitar isn't necessarily the smartest move, as much as it couldn't change jack shit. It MIGHT have a noticeable effect on the guitar's resonance, and will decrease it's value if you were to sell it someday. The best option after this is to replace a guitar's tone control with an SPDT switch (you'll have a free hole, no need for drilling), and it's exactly what I'll show you how to do right now.

What you'll need

-A momentary push-button SPDT switch, about 5-6$ (make sure it's MOMENTARY N.O (normally open), not ON/OFF or N.C)
-screwdriver
-soldering iron
-solder
-grip is not necessary, but can be helpful
-beer is optional.

Let's get to it!

NOTE: My demonstration photos will be done on a Stratocaster, whose electronics are contained under the top's pickguard, unlike most other guitars who have control cavities in the back. Either way, the principle remains the same, no matter what type of body.

1. Screw off the cover plate. On a stratocaster type guitar like this, you can't take the pickguard off completely without removing the strings, but you should get enough room to get the job done. You people with the control cavity in the back will have much more room to work with.

As you will notice, i already have a killswitch installed. Imagine it's a tone pot, I am replacing my old one.

2. You're going to want to lose the tone control if you decide not to drill a hole (if you do drill a hole, jump to the next step). Simply take it completely off contact, and pull the knob and potentiometer apart (should slip right out).

NOTE here: If you have 2 tone knobs like my strat, you can happily connect your now dangling tone pot wire to the other tone (thus creating a master tone for all your pickups at once)

You should now have a nice, yet boringly empty hole in your guitar

3. Your switch will of course have a nut, that will hold it firmy in place from under the guitar's body or pickguard(depends on the guitar).

Start by installing the switch firmly into place ( a small grip is very useful here) by locking the nut as far as it goes. You don't want your switch to jiggle around while you play. That'd suck.

4. Wiring! This is super easy, and if you have even only a little bit of experience with electric diagrams, you should be able to understand this:

If not, here's the deal: You basically want to completely ditch the tone pot unless you have a second one you can hook it up to (as mentionned above). The pushbutton should have two pins. Connect one of them to the output's power, and the other pin goes to the ground. It doesn't matter which pin you use for which wire.

Here's a better visual reference:

Solder that shit up and there you have it.

If you have any questions you can PM me. Good luck!

I'm getting alot of help from a dear friend who's teaching me alot about making movie props. Here's a corpse we made. This poor guy will be hanging in the Doctor's evil hideout.

What do you all think?

I rented Battle L.A (terrible movie. So fucking cliché), and on the same disc it had the Resistance 3 demo. I thought: ''Hey! That'd be neat to play after in case the movie ends up being shit.''

That being the case, the Resistance 3 demo had the equal shit-to-awesome ratio. The entire demo is practically waiting on a stupid boat that moves at 3mph and shooting a couple of enemies with your guns. Guns are cool, graphics are neat, but damn. Why such a boring demo? I'd of liked to get to run around at least a little bit, not just protect a dumb boat and listen to some old fart babble on and on and on from the cabin, constantly stating the obvious.

I sure as fuck hope the boat level in the full game isn't much longer than the demo section.

Ooh man.

If you've ever played 2017, you know what to expect. Bad graphics, awkward animations, odd physics and terrible dialogue tied to a practically non-existant plot. But through all this, you know there's a weird vibe about the game that makes it hard to stop playing.

In IA, the big difference is the addition of 4 classes, each with upgradeable armor tiers, and 300+ weapons to buy/farm from bosses. As you'd expect, this mixed with infinite ammo, waves and WAVES of enemies and 100% destructible environments ( any building can be demolished too ), you've got something to keep you busy for quite a while.

Oh, and it's inititial price is 39.99 and has a horde mode which becomes simply brutal.

If anyone wants to play with me, GET IT ON PS3!
