that's so tragic :(

he had so much left to do

it was super shocking because i didn't even know he was sick
It's kind of surprising to hear about a celebrity dying these days and it's NOT covid related.

I think the only movie I saw Boseman in was Black Panther. The script was kind of bad but he was excellent in the role provided. The highlight of the movie for me.
That's kind of the case in general with Marvel movies though; really great actors playing kind of bad movies because it's insanely profitable.

To be fair, you don't have anything. Clocks are just machines that tick.

speaking of actors in marvel movies: diana rigg, known for her roles as.... someone

pop-tart

Different Avengers, egghead.

But she played the lady that killed Joffrey.

<Marlin Clock> This thread seems proof positive that divisiveness at any level is usually bad for the Clock Crew.
<PhantomCatClock> are we talking about the same clock crew

Supreme court justice ruth bader ginsburg. Are political figures celebrities?

Either way, this is like 1000x more significant than any movie actor dying. If she gets replaced before the election by a republican justice the entire landscape of american law will shift massively to the right all at once.

This is the kind of death that changes history.

I don't know if anyone knows who he was, but Quino, the argentinian comic artist, passed away today

I remember reading his comics as a kid and not quite getting the political (and, generically speaking, "grown-up") jokes, but I found the whole comic funny anyway. When I got older and actually understood said jokes, it made the comics that much better.

RIP to a true legend

How long till we outlive every celebrity and this becomes a "clock crew death thread"

The year is 2076. In an age of urethera implant-driven social media, the CC BBS is useless. It's a museum, a remnant of the past. There haven't been any posts in 3 years. All known Clocks were either killed in the revolution, died of old age, or got cancer due to 7G. The BBS is now an internet graveyard located in the old, run-down part of the internet. Not that anyone knows what a graveyard is, because everyone gets turned into soylent anyway.

Suddenly, a post is made, resonating like a pebble on a murky lake. It's made in the celebrity death thread, which had been repurposed as a Clock Crew member death thread. It listed a vast number of celebrities and Clocks which had left our world - at least until the Great Internet Shortage of 2053. And now, this old, dusty list had a new post, a conclusion, a footnote capping what had been years of Clock deaths.
