Hmm. This is a great leap in the scientific community. Many new species of animal life and plant life to study, and learn more about. They could very well mean leaps and bounds in the ways of research in so many fields. Yet I still can't help but wonder, 'Are any of those new specimens tasty??'

I think the spider might be. All the rest are probably poisonous.

EDIT: Oh, and maybe the bird and the bat. I know they're edible.

All but the last three are awesome.
I saw a picture of the first fish on Fark.com about two days ago, everything else is new except I think I saw a picture of that one red spider.
That bird is adorable.
