it was the second best option at the time in terms of games/quality/space requirement, and I got it cheap on ebay

watching videos is cumbersome though, you have to get it in a particular format and put it on a usb drive that is also in a particular format

I watch a lot of LTT and he has a lot of (valid) opinions, but for an entry level loser, I think the one we both got is "the worst good one" and that's good enough for me

Oculus CV1 which is now old and busted but it came with the sensors and everything and the next best choice was $100 more and required extra investment so 90hz eyes here I come (it still has the lenses though so that sounds nice)
