Can somebody take this CS5 .fla and bust it all the way down to Flash 8?
I would be greatfull if somebody could do that for me.

You would need like CS5, CS4, and CS3 to do it the old fashioned way (I think.)

I might be able to do it with Sothink. It converts swf to fla... so I'd just have to publish it and decompile it.

Lemmie give it a shot.

OK, that's a CS6 file. I can't publish it because I only have up to CS5.

Do you have a swf of it?

Yeah, I tried using CS6 for a bit, turns out I hate it a lot. Wanna go back to flash 8.
