I hate when, in a song, they're about to go into the last chorus, and they end the verse just before it by going "and they were singin'-!" but it makes no sense in the context of the story they were telling

like say the chorus is "the villagers killed us / with torches and pitches / now we're dead"
(for some reason it's a song about the villagers killing the singer and his friends and it doesn't rhyme or have discernible meter, don't worry about it)
and the last verse ends like "over the crest of the hill we saw them coming / the villagers had found us"
and then it goes "and they were singin'-! / the villagers killed us"

it's supposed to feel rousing and like a clever segue back into the chorus (that you are by now familiar with having heard the rest of the song up to that point) but in my mind I'm just like "wtf no they weren't. the villagers were not singing that. that makes no sense in the story you were telling, for the villagers to be singing 'the villagers killed us' while they're on their way to kill you stfu cosmo jarvis"

I can think of 0 real examples of this and I don't know why I decided to pick on cosmo jarvis to make this point

I was annoyed with him after growing up with my mom blasting his music on road trips but then I heard crocodile rock and saw the light. but only for that one song. he never made anything else quite like it either. he's really talented and I just can't get into him. I like that south park song he did too. songs plural if you count cheddar cheese girl.

Man, that is so cool and makes me realize that this is the worst possible time to experiment with hands.

<Marlin Clock> This thread seems proof positive that divisiveness at any level is usually bad for the Clock Crew.
<PhantomCatClock> are we talking about the same clock crew

it wasn't until the second time I scrolled past this post that I realized that there is a song that provides important context and you weren't just pulling the slutty floody out of thin air

I love creature design that's like a tangle of things and you instinctively want to look passed the tangle to see what it's attached to but the tangle just keeps unfolding into infinity, it's very upsetting

I always hated drawing hands. they're everything that's hard about drawing a torso and limbs but there's two of them and they're almost always attached to torsos and their limbs. hands pretty much triple the amount of work involved in drawing a dude, and thus the frustration I felt at being bad at drawing a dude
