Say it with me. "Plenty of time..."

That's the thought that goes through most of our heads until August 1st. Then it's, "Shit. Already?"

So for those who are fearing they won't have anything to share for the holiest of days, Clock Day, we are providing an easy output.

Expanding on the forever-popular 10-Second Collab concept, we are stretching the clip lengths in honor of B's 21st birthday.

The idea is simple. Make a 21-second part. That's it. In the words of my friend Rob, "It can be as artistic and grandiose or lazy and irreverent as your heart desires!"

Edgy humor is fine... just don't punch down because that's lame.
This is Clock collab, so save your Locks and Madness simping and Friday Funkins for a different flash.

Specs: 24 FPS ¥ 16:9 ratio ¥ SWF or MP4
Post your links here or message me or Poly on the Discord.
Deadline is August 13.

Strawberry_Clock is the King of the Portal.

Clock Crew News / Low Tide Event
February 18, 2022, 10:50:36 PM
<insert formal expression of goodwill here>

You may ask yourself, "Isn't it February?" And you may ask yourself, "What happened to Flash Flood?"
And you may tell yourself, "The Clock Crew is dead lol." And you may tell yourself, "THIS IS NOT MY BEAUTIFUL WIFE."

Letting the days go by... let the water hold me down...

Despite not announcing an official drenching of the Portal, we have seen some scattered submissions from artists like Pannacotta, Inkwell, Imp, and that chocolate guy whose name escapes me. We have also been treated to daily entries by the ever-tenacious D.Va.

Well friends, we thought we'd end the month with a splash.

From the thinktank of Vu and Poly comes Low Tide. All the fun and excitement of a month-long flash flood squeezed conveniently into eight days.

The premise is as simple as it sounds:

— Submit as many entries as you can to the Newgrounds Portal between 2/21 and 2/28.
— Post links here, on the Discord, or on Facebook Marketplace under 'free manure."
— Have fun.

Feel free to post ideas for theme days, if you have any. I'll throw a couple out to get us rolling:

Day one: P-Cat B-Day
Day two: 22222 Day

Announcing our 2021 Clockmas collab:
The Naughty List

The premise is simple. After all their letters are returned from Santa, the Clock Crew learns it has been put on The Naughty List.

After initially blaming Flounderman, each clock tells a story about something bad they did this year that might have gotten us there. Make sense?

You can be as outrageous as you want, but keep it within an "M" rating. Usually rules apply in regard to music, hate content, other stuff that will make us lamer than we are.

Specs:
24 FPS ¥ 16:9 ratio ¥ SWF or MP4
Goal is to submit before the holiday, so tentative deadline is Sunday 12/19/21.

Naughty listers:
Flounderman
Panna Cotta
Rob (done)
L1fty
Pop-Tart (part one of three done)
Vuvuzela
Polyhedron
Brazil (?)
D.Va
Thor

Ehhhhh... What's up, Clocks?

We're doing a collab for Clocktober. Some fun, spooky shit.

Resident ghost expert PhantomCat has suggested a theme of clocks sitting around a campfire, telling stories to scare the person to their right. Poly has dubbed the idea...

After signups, participants will be assigned an order. They will be given three days to create a segment intended to frighten the person coming after you. Make sense?

It's pretty important that you are reachable when your part comes up, so please don't overextend yourself. You will be ridiculed. We are allowing three days to get at least a basic outline sketched out. Actually, I suppose it doesn't matter at all. My head was still in PTF mode. As long as you know who's coming next, you can incorporate that element into your part. Or not. Don't pay attention to me. I'm off my meds.

Usual rules apply. No hate content. No music that will get us unpublished. No creepy simping over an adolescent Disney character. Blood is OK. Dicks are OK. Bloody dicks are really OK.

Specs:
24 FPS ¥ 16:9 ratio ¥ SWF or MP4
Finalized parts due no later than Friday 10/29 4AM to 415AM.

Partpissypants:

Flounderman
Poly
Pop
Phantomkitty
Clockalope
K9
Robert
D.Va
Mighty Thor
Panna
L1fty
Zombie Lincoln

Greetings Clocks and friends.

Oh boy. Where to start?

So, we released our Clockmas offering this week, Clockmas 2020: Attack & Dethrone Santa. A breathtaking intro by Jelly, a masterful closing by Flounderman, and all sorts of creative goodies in-between.

We fell short of a Newgrounds daily due to some ill-intentioned haters, but were rewarded a Front Page feature by Mr. Fulp for our holiday merry-making. Congrats to Yarn who earned her first NG trophy for her contribution to the Christmas entry submitted by our friends over at Star Syndicate. Great job Yarn!

So this all brings us to the end of the insanity which is 2020. Geesh, who would have foreseen all this when we began this year?

It started out great. The return of the Flash Flood had us all riding high. Amazing entries by new and old Clocks, it was a magical moment in CC history. (I'm not going to post my favorites here, but feel free to comment with links to your must-sees!)

What we didn't know at the time was just how much the COVID-19 pandemic would turn the world upside down. Throw in some political turmoil, a little civil unrest... and we haven't even scratched the surface of how dark of a year 2020 was for humankind.

Still, we kept our heads up and went to work.

We released one hell of a Clock Day collaboration with Pass The Spam: Drei. We returned to the scene in November with Pass the Gravy II. Both receiving very positive reviews and a bunch of accolades on Newgrounds.

So, in the words of GnR, "Where do we go now?"

Well, the future is looking bright. Vaccines and elections and new console releases... All point to a better 2021.

Paving the way for a very big Twenty Years of B Clock Day. You mthrfkkrs ready to make some noise?

Hey. We outlived Flash and survived the Coronavirus pandemic. We can't stop now.

Now that we've found our collab stride again, let's continue to fruitlessly hold on to our fleeting relevance with another holiday offering.

The title stems from a round of Quiplash recently played by the cool kids who frequent Slurpee Saturdays (beating out "Pop-Tart Does Everybody's Part." Thank God.)

Again, we're going with the "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" approach of make whatever your little clockheart desires. This will be presented as TV variety special, so it makes no difference if the parts are related, unrelated, high quality, or utter reindeer shit. Just spread some Clockmas cheer. The world needs it right now.

Deadline is three weeks from today, 12/20/20, so you literally have no reason to be a Scrooge or a Grinch or a Corpsegrinder about it.

Final product will be 24fps, 1280x720p, 128kbps. But work in whatever specs makes you feel warm. MP4 or SWF formats, por favor.

Potential participants of the plum pudding pageantry:
Pop
Rob
Yarn
Redbook
D.Va
Venezuela
Pannacotta
Jamba
OMG Flounderman
Two surprise guests, not the guy who makes the submarine movies tho because he went AWOL

We were all disheartened that unforeseeable obstacles caused our last holiday collab to fail to come to fruition. (No, I don't know what those obstacles were. I just work here.)

So we're going to give this another whirl.

A sequel to the Portal-award winning Pass the Gravy.

We're making this simple. Make whatever the fuck Thanksgiving-themed thing you want. I will piece them together into some sort of coherent movie.

Deadline is two weeks from today, 11/22/20.

Yep, that's it.

Final product will be 24fps, 1280x720p, 160kbps.
Stay close to that. Don't stay close to that.
Don't care.

Conceivable contributors -

Probably Pop
Possibly Poly
Reasonably Rob and Seemingly Succubus
Feasibly Flounder
Potentially Pannacotta

Clock Crew News / Clock Day 2020!
August 05, 2020, 06:02:09 PM
Greetings Clocks and Clockfriends!

Wow. 2020 is certainly proving to be the most unearthly year of our short lives.

A worldwide pandemic. Civil unrest. Political polarization. How we respond as compassionate beings during these "uncertain times" will shape the world stage for generations to come.

So what can you do to help? Make Clock Day movies, of course!

Yes friends, it is that time again. Time to celebrate the birthday of the longest running Flash and animation troupe on the internet. [citation needed]

For the Antifa K-Pop TikTok kids who have stumbled here looking to cancel Flounderman for taking his mask off at Cosco's, August 15th marks the 19th anniversary of Strawberry Clock's B. We will once again commemorate this monumental event by flooding the Newgrounds Portal with half-assed content that only we find amusing. It's what we do.

We will be releasing our newest collaborated effort, Pass The Spam III. It features new and veteran clock artists, some who we haven't seen in years. Exciting!!

Spam King Redbook has designed this cool logo for you to put in your creations.

We have a couple of clocks working on Clock Day skins for Newgrounds, and we will unveil the chosen design very soon.

I'm sure medals will be awarded, and I'm sure K-9 will start making them as soon as he reads this.

So to the artists contributing to this holy day of distraction from reality, make haste and make waste. The StrawberryClock is ticking.

To the fans and friends who support us on this day and year round, we love you all!

Clock Crew News / Flash Flood 2020 Round-Up
March 01, 2020, 06:05:25 PM

The idea was absurd.

Riding off the adrenaline of a few well-received collabs driven by RobClock, I suggested to him what could only be categorized as insane. A ten-year anniversary edition Flash Flood.

He shrugged. No one had time for such farcical frivolity in February.

Yet here we are.

We launched the month with The Making WAVs Collab, an experiment in creativity that got us all back in a "good-old-days" groove. New and old clocks doing what the Clock Crew does. Creating... something.

Then, it was on. 14 clocks submitted entries, with five going the distance. Two entries were frontpaged. And we gathered more than a few Newgrounds trophies along the way, including an unprecedented 14 (and counting) for the untouchable Thor Clock.

K-9 designed some snazzy awards and Rob snuck them into your stockings while you were sleeping. Accolades go to:

Submitting at least one flash to the Flood:
Flounderman, Inkwell, Clocktopus, K-9, Marlin, Switch, Vuvuzela, P-Cat, and Deodorant.

Submitting 29 flashes to the Flood:
Thor, Redbook, Phonograph, Pop-Tart, and Rob.

Being frontpaged on Newgrounds during the Flood:
Flounderman and Inkwell.

Turd of the Month award for the lowest scoring flash during the flood:
Marlin

The False Pretender award, for the highest scoring flash during the flood and literally taking over the Portal:
The Almighty Thor

Lots of thanks to everyone. Those who contributed. Those who helped with writing, music, or voice acting for participants. And to those who cheered us on.

I think most of us our ready for a well-earned mental break.

A short break.

The premise:

You will make a 60 second (or under) audio file. It can be a story, skit, song, whatever your little clock heart desires. Keep your creation a secret!

You will send it to me (email, DM a link, w/e) and I will assign your composition to another participant for them to animate.

The fun in this will be creating audio (possibly with minimal context) with one vision in your head and seeing how the other artist interprets it (God help us if Flounder signs up).

Deadline to sign up will be one week from today, 1/6/20.
Due date for audio file submission will be the following week, 1/13/20.
Audio will be assigned the next day and finished animation parts will due 1/27/20.

Final cut will be uploaded February 1st to kick off the 2020 return of the... drum roll please... FLASH FLOOD.

We're going to go with the same specs as the Clockmas collab because I thought it worked well.

1280 x 720 -- 24 frames per second (SWF or MP4 is fine.)
