I think it depends on the person and how they use their time here. Someone could spend loads of time here just posting on the forums and not really creating anything (although this could just be a way of coping with a more serious problem) and thus corrupting their future lives by relaxing into a routine of apathy. Or, they could be inspired by it and use it as an opportunity to hone their skills and build their portfolios, which obviously would be beneficial to their future life.
