Would you count Xbox Live Arcade titles? If so, I'd personally suggest Castle Crashers, Ikaruga, and perhaps Doom 2 for the new episode (Which from what i heard is actually good).

I've got a fair amount of recommendations:

PC

Dungeon Defenders (Uses Xinput)
Jamestown: Legend of the Lost Colony (Uses Xinput, supports multiple keyboards and mice)
Serious Sam Classic: The Second Encounter (DirectInput)
Serious Sam 3: BFE (Xinput)
Trine 2

PS3

Borderlands 2
Dungeon Defenders
Resistance 3
Trine 2
Portal 2 (Split-screen is also possible on PC, so long as you know the console commands)

Gaming & Technology / Rise of the Triad?

One thing that I stumbled upon is this interview that seems to confirm the return of EGK!... And post-release co-op!

Remember that one game that got overshadowed by Doom? No? Well, I guess it's time for Rise of the Triad to shine!

Personally hoping that it sticks to the old-school formula, though the amount of guts and gore this game has already looks promising

Gaming & Technology / The Official Valve Games Thread

I kinda wish that community servers could have a bigger head count, though I understand why it's only 6 people, seeing that the enemy mobs aren't NPCs, but count as simulated players.

Gaming & Technology / Castle Crashers PC

After 4 years since the Xbox Live Arcade release, The Behemoth finally decided that they should release the game on the PC with Steam Cloud, along with local and online multiplayer (Figured that the latter point should be mentioned seeing that PC games almost never support multiple players on the same system).

If you have a reasonably powerful machine, you can use FRAPS to record a flash movie playing off a web page or through Flash Player.

Gaming & Technology / Graphics Card?

An AMD Radeon 5770 should be affordable at this point, and it's also quite powerful at the things it does.

Yeah, it isn't out yet, and there's no demo, though this already seems promising for 2d GTA clone making fun of everything 8-bit

Available on all major systems, as well as GoG for those who hate DRM.

Orcs must die 2

A lot of fun to be had in co-op, though it's pretty short compared to the first game... Good thing you can play the first game through the second game.

A general rule of thumb for getting a desktop is to either build it yourself, or if you're feeling lucky with pre-built ones, they should be built by dedicated computer stores such as Memory Express.

That said, i'll have to get an idea of what your budget looks like before i can figure out what sort of parts to recommend.

Hoping that this is a noteworthy bump. Will make something for Clock day (hopefully), but this flash has nothing to do with the aforementioned holiday.

Being obsessed with the Empra and what not, i feel that i should mention that the THQ's Dawn of War franchise (including the Retribution DLC) has a 75% discount.
