Mrs. McGruder's House / A RED STAMPS

If lilies are lily white if they exhaust noise and distance and even dust, if they dusty will dirt a surface that has no extreme grace, if they do this and it is not necessary it is not at all necessary if they do this they need a catalogue.

Post itt if you run into any new problems.

Please note that the recent account migration has caused mfb some technical difficulties. Uploads no longer work, though the devious uploader suggests otherwise.

I will inform you of any and all progress.

Thank you for your understanding.

Clock Day 2012 / M Crutch
August 15, 2012, 10:39:02 PM
Watch the movie here for full effect (found a bug in NG's new preview thing). You may need to refresh for the trick to work, but it pretty much just explodes into a full-paged flash movie (oh, and have Javascript enabled):

OK

Pandora was given a box by the gods. She was told not to open it. Her curiosity, another gift from the gods, got the best of her and she opened the box. All the evils of the world came flooding out except for one thing at the bottom of the box--hope. Whoa so cool.

Here's what I wonder: what if Hope is one of those worldly evils? Hope is a crippling thing. It's so useless. Lot of good it did Pandora to hope the evils she unleashed didn't affect Man that much.

Mrs. McGruder's House / WAS HE FOOLED???
September 29, 2011, 05:02:50 PM
Excerpt from What Is the Name of This Book? :

On April 1, 1925, I was sick in bed with grippe, or flu, or something. In the morning my brother Emile (ten years my senior) came into my bedroom and said: "Well, Raymond, today is April Fool's Day, and I will fool you as you have never been fooled before!" I waited all day long for him to fool me, but he didn't. Late that night, my mother asked me, "Why don't you go to sleep?" I replied, "I'm waiting for Emile to fool me." My mother turned to Emile and said, "Emile, will you please fool the child!" Emile then turned to me, and the following dialogue ensued:

Emile / So, you expected me to fool you, didn't you?
Raymond / Yes.
Emile / But I didn't, did I?
Raymond / No.
Emile / But you expected me to, didn't you?
Raymond / Yes.
Emile / So I fooled you, didn't I!

Well, I recall lying in bed long after the lights were turned out wondering whether or not I had really been fooled. On the one hand, if I wasn't fooled, then I did not get what I expected, hence I was fooled. (This was Emile's argument.) But with equal reason it can be said that if I was fooled, then I did get what I expected, so then, in what sense was I fooled. So, was I fooled or wasn't I?

Mrs. McGruder's House / CC Portalgrapher
June 13, 2011, 06:05:28 PM
I made one:

Here you go guys, a clock crew portalgrapher. It's still "in beta," as it's usually referred to, so please be patient with it. Things will improve with time.

How it works:
The Atrium is a Newgrounds flash database for clock movies.

To submit a link, you have to be an approved member of clocktopia.net. We do not want strangers flooding the database. (I'd like to port this over to .cc eventually, if it's cool with the admins).

You need to be signed up and approved on ct.net because every database submission is linked to the submitter so we can keep an eye on abusive submissions. Monkey business will lead to a person's being banned from submitting movies.

Q: I have 200 movies, can you submit them by username instead of individually?
A: Not yet, but I'm working on writing a script for this. In the meantime, keep busy by manually submitting your movies, thanks.
A: Yes. Although the system is a little shaky, I am able to submit all your movies by username. Simply post itt or PM me, and I will take care to post your 200 movies for you. Thanks.

Submitting a movie:
Click on "Submit Flash" in the menu.

Enter your Newgrounds link and click submit.
If the movie is already in the database, you'll get a message telling you so.
If it isn't, you'll be told that the movie was added and your submission should appear in the 5 latest database entries.

Only Newgrounds links are accepted.

Color Coding:
Movies are sorted by score in the following manner:
  • Red = Under Judgement;
  • Gold = 0.01 - 3.19;
  • Green = 3.20 - 3.99;
  • Blue =4.00 - 5.00.
Clock of the Month:
The clock of the month will be chosen by popular vote at the end of each month.

I've given the spot to Satellite for now.

Flash of the Month:
This can go two ways, either we vote for flash of the month each time, or we leave it up to the movie with the highest NG score.

Currently, FOTM is automatically calculated by high score.

Archives:
The archives are currently very limited, but I'm working on improving them.

A search function should be added, and I will also fix the two-way "sort by x" function. For now, "sort by x" only goes in ascending order.

The archives are fully functional, including a search feature and a "sort by everyway".

Score Updates:
Scores are automatically updated on the Saturday of every week. The only exceptions to this rule are movies that are Under Judgment. Their scores are updated every time the page loads, until they pass judgement.

Blammed Movies:
At the time of writing, blammed movies will have to remain in the database. Removing them should be easy, but I will eventually automate the process.
Blammed movies have been coded into the atrium. I have yet to test whether or not they work. It works.

Atrium Skin:
If you do not like the skin of the atrium, I apologize. Please bear with me, I will eventually install the option for different themes.
The Atrium now features skinning. I've only added "Plain Jane" as an example--better skins to come.

Let me know what you guys think. Hope you all like it.
