Quote from: SoBe Clock;1975337I know there are a few SMT fans here. If I were to get into the Shin Megami Tensei series now, with Nintendo platforms only, no Playstations, what games should I get and which order should I play them in?

SMT: Devil Survivor is one of the best SRPG games out there imo, for DS

Quote from: RobClock;1974855I maintain that the Dickwolves comic was genuinely funny commentary on questing in WoW and other MMOs and that the controversy surrounding it was fucking moronic. Wish I had gotten that T-shirt while it was available, it was better designed than half of the WoW merch that Jinx sells.

The problem is that groups of guys were wearing it to PAX conventions which are already Male dominant, making it feel even more unsafe for women who have to worry about rape way more than you'd think.

There's also the inherent problem of making money off of rape victims speaking out against something they feel uncomfortable about.

Yeah the joke wasn't bad. There's definitely room in this world for dark humor. But in an environment (gaming conventions) that's already sketchy for women, selling a shirt with a rape joke is in pretty poor taste and makes for a more threatening environment.

Depression is fucked up, that's how. I think this is the most affected I've been by a celebrity death. RIP.

JCS is p crazy. Saw the movie and watched a production with the original Jesus.

I thought the production was better, the movie just feels like one of those pretentious 70's films like Zabrinksi Point.

Quote from: MiracleFruitClock;1971186idgi is he engineering stuff while piloting the space ship???

You need engineers to make spaceships. They might not need him to be an engineer, but they probably have a few engineer job openings available.

Quote from: pop-tart;1971134I have problems seeing stuff from a distance. My nana says I should probably go see the eye doctor because I prob need glasses at least for when I drive. I don't want to go because I'm kinda afraid of that glaucoma machine where they blow air in your eyes.

What do?

wow that's me too haha. I have a stigmatism so I have a low prescription for seeing far away things, but I also hate that goddamn machine. The worst part is that they have to keep doing it if you blink.

got myself a bf and started popping pills this month so that's going alright I guess

(and before you ask, I don't associate myself with the crazies on Tumblr)

That's awesome, glad to see some more diversity in this place. I hope it works out well and congrats on finding the courage to go through with that.

Of course it' weird, but it's also weird that we're made of billions of living organisms working together and our thoughts have physical manifestations.

Just read through these. Nice work! A couple of crits:

Like I said before, the text is hard to read. Not only is it hand written, but the size is constantly changing, and the colors often clash with the background. Also, since you're doing it in the line style, it often feels cramped on the stage. I really really recommend just going for computer generated text with a white background with the text bubbles, and saving the pen for the really big stuff.

Also, I'd recommend changing up the pen size and colors. Try not penning out the backgrounds in black, do it in dark color shades, and outline the characters thicker. This is a personal stylistic choice, but I think it would work well with your style.

One of the most entertaining and interesting panels is the latest one with the ghost. That's because your ghost is super expressive, we can tell exactly what he's thinking. The rocks tend to have the same expression on their face the entire time. This can be tiring as a reader because I can't just glance to understand what they're thinking and it can create some disconnects like on panel 6 of #20 where he's saying "Yes!" with this super deep frown on his face.

The animations are top notch and entertaining, nice work on those.

Overall it's an interesting and entertaining webcomic that I dug reading! Those are just some things that came to mind.

Gaming & Technology / Favorite video game MUSIC.

Quote from: VCRClock;1969984When I was playing through Dual Destinies and heard the Sad Sidekick Backstory Music Cue for the first time, I actually stopped pressing buttons so I could listen to the whole thing. DD was a good installment for music.

I did the same thing with the main court theme in the first game. Too good.

apparently "life with archie" is the series of comics that explores what archie & friends would be like after high school/college, and they're capping off this series with archie's heroic death
thus archie dies in canon (omg!) and archie comics gets to put out an "ARCHIE DIES" press release (omg!!!) but they still get to continue churning out the adventures of regular old alive high school archie. this is like the time archie got married, although honestly i'm more impressed by archie canonically picking either betty or veronica than i am by his eventual death
i find archie comics a little depressing because they feel like something that used to be very popular once upon a time, but have become laughably irrelevant to their original core audience, and are kept afloat only by dwindling obsessive fans and nostalgia addicts. it's like if "gasoline alley" had a cult.

this is an awesome post, VCR. I don't think I've ever met someone who reads Archie, or even ever discussed Archie IRL. It's just... there.
