Hello Clock crew! I am Spanish, but will hopefully become SpanishClock one day. I do have flash and I'm working on a few contributions to CCTV3 (I hope they'll let me) and I am a pretty decent animator.

Not in my eyes. The Clock Crew makes plenty of cartoons, and do you think we would be widely accepted as art? No. Any title based on opinion isn't an actual title, just a nickname. Just because it's not accepted as art doesn't mean it's not art. And I'm currently working on a different .fla, so I might change it before CCTV3 comes out, so I wouldn't want you to work on something that's going to be outdated when I change characters. But I really appreciate the gesture, and go for it if you want!

Cartoons are art, I just think anime is WAYYY too easy. Not even joking, I learned how to draw anime in an hour, and my friends are like "WAOHW THAT'S SO COOL HOW CAN U DRAW LIEK DAT!" And I'm just staring at them going "This is shit". Honestly, I consider myself a pretty decent artist and animator, but every anime ever created is a generic piece of crap. The only good one I've seen is Death Note, but that ended in one season. So yeah you can talk to me.

Also, in my conversation with Goggles, I thought he was reffering to anime, not cartoons in general.

Andy Warhol isn't an artist. All he does is make pictures of cambells soup cans. Even I could do that. Fullmetal Alchemist is amazing too.

I kinda created a substandard for myself that all anime sucks and I really won't watch it unless somebody else is watching it and they have the remote. I've heard of Fullmetal Alchemist  but never watched it because it was anime. I haven't seen anime because Adult Swim used to be flooded with anime garbage like BOBOBOBOBOBOBBOBOBOBOBO and stuff that didn't take any effort. Maybe it has changed, but I'm sticking with shit that has a plotline that makes sense.

From what I've seen, Japanese animation seems to have more attention to detail and artistic merit than silly cartoons. Many of the backdrops are hand-painted, character models are well-detailed and well animated and there are series with genuinely good story lines. It would be incredibly ignorant to say that all animation from Japan is shite like Lucky Star or Naruto. Besides, if the animation is good, as you've admitted, does that not make it art, seeing as time has been invested in its creation?

I see what you're getting at, and I thank you for not pouncing on my views and taking them from a reasonable approach. They get huge animation teams to make the motion and artwork a lot easier to do, they get well known voice actors to get credibility, and then they brand it off to children, the easiest targets, who will love anything (I cannot be disproven of this, kids like Soulja Boy). So attention to detail does mean time, but not necessarily effort. And anime character models all look the same to me. Crazy, spiky, awkward colored hair, pointy nose, mouth shaped with a line and a curve, and a red zigzag on the cheek.

Anyway welcome SpanishClock, you seem to have a bit of present skill which is great for a new person. However I'm not too sure how well you'll do; from the looks of your previous views. Just a tip try not to reveal much about yourself, this is kind of a group that likes to fuck with you when others aren't looking. Or hell in open sight if its honestly funny.

Your likes and dislikes sync with the majority of people here. You really ring well with me at least, especially on the art front. Do you compose? You may be too late to get in on our heavy_metal CD's tracklist, but a third album should be organized in short order.

On anime, it has always been a subject of divided views. Try and tolerate it. We've all seen really horrible animes and the people whose fanaticism supports it. Despite that I doubt a person here would deny that good anime does exist, and neither would they deny it as a unique art form.

Also, I can see why you would clash with Catclock. He has always been a blatant follower of anime, but wasn't always acting like a total tragedy. He's putting a character on. I take anything he does with a grain of salt.

It's still Peso in South America. And I will admit that some anime is very good looking, which  have stated in the case of death note. But I mean that most of them (not all) suck, BADLY.
