I was looking through the memberlist and at least 70% of people seem to sign up, hardly/never post after years and just completely forget there is a Clock Crew. Most of these dudes don't even think of proper Clock names. In other words, they probably don't have any idea what we are.

Or might I be missing out on some secret marketing stunt only the CC itself could pull off?

It's to be expected, long tail and whatnot. You know what I think? I think you should be post from days 2-7, but then the second week you can't post. That way they can ask all their questions, figure out that they're supposed to lurk during that week and not merely be disallowed from posting, and invest in the community before not posting. If they don't show up at the end of the week, then you know it's because they don't care enough.
