good news for Nintendo. I had thought this would be one of their worst years in a while.
Thats good, because I like nintendo.
their flagship games for their consoles are selling well that's good
2 games out of how many

Hard to say, Both the 3DS and the Wii had pretty strong black friday sales. The Wii selling so strongly still is very surprising.
November/december is about the only time Nintendo brings its A-game, Donkey Kong Country returns was a blast last year.
we all know this thing is going to do well

the controller that does everything except make you food and suck your dick
Dislike.
Not that I don't like NINTENDO... They've given me a lot of good memories. But their franchises are pretty stale to me and they've done a great job convincing developers that people don't like controller-based play anymore. Which I, for one, do.
why cant microsoft just buy them so i can start getting zelda achievements on my 360

I have a better idea, developers should try making games up to Nintendo's standard of quality for the XBOX360.

achievements ruined gaming

no, dlc ruined gaming
The industry as a whole ruined gaming.
most games suck, some don't.
DLC and achievements are effects not causes
And the "nintendo standard" is a myth.
I think the main problem with gaming today is that games are too expensive to make so they have to sell you an incomplete product and hope you buy the extra shit so they make a return, and they cant risk making a game too different or innovative because it might not sell well and thus bankrupt the company. It used to be that you could make a really weird game and manage to make a sequel but not today. Of course this mainly applies to main disk based console games. You still get some interesting market/wiiware/portable games. And every once in a while the wii gets something interesting since it's not as demanding of a system.
Personally I blame the jews and nintendoclock
nintendo died when the original rare died
rip rare
nuts & bolts was cool, rigor mortis hasn't set in completely
also i think the wii has sold really well every year of it's life

Agreed, I actually had a lot of fun with Nuts & Bolts. And I don't like racing games so I expected to hate it, but it was pretty different from racers. Shit, now I want to replay it...

Nuts and bolts wasnt made by the orignal rare guys im p sure. im talking the very first generation of rare developers so basically everything after the n64 isnt original rare.

disagree completely
achievements are stupid and meaningless
and they are pretty much only exclusive to xbox anyway
there is the sony equivalent called trophies. youve probably never heard of them because nobody who plays on the ps3 gives a shit about them
mostly because we're not children
Achievements dont unlock anything in the game I dont see what the point is. In Brawl when you get their equivalent of an achievement you get a new stage or music track or something. What do you get when you get an achievement on halo. Another merit badge on your e-penis?
gaming isn't dead by a long shot, it just tends to be more consumer-whorey than it used to be
that's why i switched to pc gaming and only pay for the games i actually play
