Alright motherfuckers, this shit is coming out in late February in the US and Europe and shit. Comes out Dec. 17th or 19th in Japan but on one cares unless you're importing it, which you can since the console and games aren't region-locked. That means you'll be able to buy Super Hentai Tentacle Hairyventure 3 Vita when it comes out.

Earlier in the year when this shit got announced people were excited as fuck. Now that it's getting closer to release, some of the news has been mostly negative. If you had an original PSP, it's going to cost money to make them playable on the Vita. Also, backwards compatibility with PSX games won't come out at launch, but in a future update. And the proprietary memory cards are going to be expensive as fuck and you're going to need one.

Super Hentai Tentacle Hairyventure 2 was crap, I hope square enix can pull itself together for the third one. There's some big expectations for it since its a launch title.

it's true. there's an unofficial Video Game club at my school. All of the members are black and the only game they play is MvC.

I'm going to go ahead and move this to the gaming forum.

Although they were hoping to get more battery life out of Vita than 3DS, it seems to have the same battery life when playing games. 3-5 Hours depending on screen brightness.

Though that same battery life is one of the things that kept me from wanting a 3DS, the Vita looks like it actually has a great lineup of games and better functionality outside of games than the 3DS, in my opinion. Especially with the Vita/PS3 cross platform functionality they've talked about. I'm considering getting this eventually despite the short battery life like the 3DS.

I bought a 3DS since this really looked like it was going to be PSP vs DS all over again, and we all know who won that round.
Anyhow I might end up getting one after all once there are some games out for it that I really like.

Also seriously fuck them for making you buy a memory card again.

I didn't bother getting a 3DS (although the new Mario land has me tempted), and I probably won't be picking this up either. Handheld gaming just really isn't my thing anymore and if I wanted to play a console game i'd play it on a console, not a brick that barely fits in my pocket.

Handheld gaming hasn't been my thing for years, but I'm getting this thing for those times when I'm inbetween classes on campus. Being able to pull out a portable Call of Duty, UMvC3, StreetFighterxTekken machine is going to be pretty sweet. The entire world has wifi by now, which means you can play online pretty much anywhere.

Sick sick sick can't fucking wait.
Even if all the games somehow suck like the new Ridge Racer, that only comes with like 5 cars and 3 tracks or some shit and you have to download any other cars and tracks that you want,

I'm a bit of a SONY fanboy, but I don't think I'll pick this up (or the 3DS - handheld stuff just doesn't really do it for me these days). However the tech is pretty impressive and I can see why people are interested. Anybody know how "good" the graphics will be? I've heard comparable to the original Xbox, but it's oddly hard to find a definitive answer.

The graphics are definitely better than the original Xbox.

Here are the prices that GAMESTOP has listed for the memory cards. I'm hoping to buy a stolen one a few days after release on Craigslist.

• 8GB: $44.99
• 16GB: $69.99
• 32GB: $119.99

If I can't find a stolen one, I'll probably get the 8GB, as the other ones are ridiculous.

I have too many regrets from jumping on the 3DS too early that I'm just going to wait at least a year for the Vita. I saw a pic of a yellow one at TGS earlier this year and nearly died, so I'll hop on it whenever that comes out.

I don't know what to think about Sony entering the portable business.  The only thing that the PSP had that was remotely interesting was the homebrew community that Sony was trying so hard to curbstomp.

I'm a sucker for Nintendo, and I'll probably buy their consoles and jank at launch for the rest of my life. This is something I'm prepared to live with.

This console looks sweet as fuck. Mostly for Uncharted ( god i love those games ). Sucks Naughty dog aren't behind it but from what I've seen it seems the devs are doing a good job with it.
