Title: Clocks that are actively pursuing a creative career
Post by: l1fty on March 17, 2012, 11:30:24 AM
I'm pretty sure there are some real artists in the ClockCrew, so I was just wondering how many Clocks are actively pursuing a career in an artistic direction?

I guess the most obvious would be animation, but painting, directing, acting, music.. pretty much anything artistic count too

As I am trying hard doing the same, I feel awfully useless because I (think I) am a bad programmer. I am specializing in all the aesthetic aspects.

There are a lot of programmers out there looking for artists. Most of them (edit:the artists that is) tend to be flakes, so if you'd be willing to work consistently without upfront charge, you could prob find an experienced freeware developer looking for art. Try checking out r/gamedev and r/gamedevclassifieds

In all seriousness, have you tried using iBooks Author and selling it on the iPad? I have a few contacts which talk with Kevin Smith every now and again. If you get it onto iBook Author and distro it onto iTunes drop me a link, and 2 free copy codes I will ensure he gets them. A simple tweet from him could help a bit ;-)

we started doing design documentation in ibooks form. pretty cool since the interactive qualities allow to explain complex that would otherwise take a lot of text and images.

The ClockCrew is a creative bunch of mofos.

I'm an art director at an ad agency, technically working in the interactive department. This means I do banner ads, websites, animation, some TV spot work. Here is an example, those be my hands - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tH-Yp8OoxZQ
