The guy who made Ed Edd and Eddy is canadian, does that count? If so Canada is redeemed.

Yeah, Danny Antonucci. If you scroll up a bit, I posted one of his first short films, Lupo the Butcher.

I think figures like Richard Williams and Jacques Drouin more than make up for our more "pay the rent" style of animation, but whatever.

Canada made Reboot and Beast Wars too (they dont look so great now but for their time it was unheard of to make a tv series in cgi). This is all stuff created during the 90s and earlier though. I think canada only got awful with shows created during the 2000s. I'm watching Brothers Grunt now for the first time. Its definitely Ed Edd and Eddyesque, but obviously grosser because its on mtv.

Yeah, I'll admit the NFB has been behind some really fabulous stuff.

It's just not what's on TV. :(

They have a few gems. Angela Anaconda and Ned's Newt were funny, and Cybersix was the fucking shit, but yeah, I picked a pretty embarrassing time to try and get into this industry. :o

Okay so it was animated in America but a Canadian studio helped.
Also; am I the only person who genuinely liked that show? It seems like the only attention it gets these days is ironic 4chan bullshit.

clamclock this is not a thread for being closed-minded

my little pony: friendship is magical is animated in canada; posting it in this thread is 100% appropriate

that being said, further posting of my little pony would be inappropriate as it would detract attention from canada's other fine contributions to animation
