What it is, motherfuckers!
What's doin'?
Specifically, and I know I should just look around more and figure it out for myself, but I was wondering if anyone could point me to some collaborative CC stuff that's in need of some artwork or writing. Ideally something relatively short and simple but with lots of room to fuck around and bring on the freshness.
Like I'd like to jam on something where the animation is all pops between still images of weird charactery stuff, and there's an audio track with like epic ambiance and voices saying amusing things or something. But I don't particularly feel like having anything to do with the sound/voices or structure of the piece.
I want to contribute dumb goofy drawwrings and paintenings to other peoples dumb goofy this and thats.
But I wanna do it like tonight. Within the next few minutes.
Is there anything going on like that? Or does anyone want to get on board and squeeze one out like that?
I'm in the mood, crewmen. I'm in the mood.
Hey YoYo, this guy is asking for you. Want me to tell him you're not here?
What the fuck just happened?
This dude came in and started asking if anybody wanted some gnarly picturings for their clocky doings. That dude was me.

Don't worry, man, I don't think you were around for his time here... lots of drugs and... hookers... unclean hookers that looked like girls... with dicks...

At one time there was a clock named FlavaFlavClock. I don't know much about him.
Sup, Ankh? How's... LIFE?
(see, because you're an ankh. man, I'm clever.)

there was a period where the wolves had just taken over. lasted maybe a week. the howling kept everyone awake at all hours.
oh right yeah nvm
yeh, what do you want?
I've inadvertently called forth the force of the yo-yo with my reckless dabblings in speaking the yo.
Anyways, so I'm just posting posts. Then I'm gonna art some arts. But is there like a place to ask other than GD to see if anyone was up for conceiving conceptions and laying down ye olde contextual frameworks for leisurely fun and excitement (what so they glimmer)? Or for that matter, where one could muster the courage and answer the call that calls for everything but that (ie. stoopid graphixings to go with stuff you don't feel like doing, or would like to use someone else's perspective for, or any of various totally legit boss reasons to have someone else do parts/all of the flashings and photoshoppery of an endeavor they've betinkered or with which they are in the midst of betinkering).
I want for the visual tomfooleries of the matter without getting all into the other creation aspects. (Admittedly this desire ostensibly stems from a delicate combination of spare time, extra-poor organizational skills, questionable sense of humor/taste/generaldecency/whathaveyou, and a pinch of acute laziness and partial apathy.)
Like, does anyone remember MTV's Liquid Television? It later evolved into Oddities, kind of, the primary difference being that the latter featured several internally consistent series of relatively structured animated stories; whereas the former was kind of a grab-bag of quirky early 90s off-label underground boooolshit, conceived by would-be gay-90s ravers/architects who never hit the dancefloors, but stayed home twisting whatever possible thing into pictureshows like mad professors hidden away in long-forgotten magical caves, now equipped with strange technological devices that ordinary people probably wouldn't own. These cartoons were essentially created by obscure supervillains, as part of their latest needlessly complicated plot to keep caving it up without having to get a real job and/or finally get the girl. (Like that's not what the toons were about, at all, that's what they WERE. They were the bizarre work of these real life mastermind rogues.)
Well I'm looking to do like about a third of some of that. Like, maybe a 3 minute thing, tops. And I'm not talking like 3 minutes of Snow White, or even Beavis & Butthead. I'm thinking like Phoenix Wright, but if it felt like those fucked up stillframe paintings on Ren & Stimpy. But lazier.
Is there any of that going on that I could slide into? Under-a-day kind of stuff, but with a few minutes of entertainment.

I'm totally surprised anyone remembers me. That's awesome.
a structured, concentrated collaborative effort, reaping the rewards of group size and shared interests, efficiently subdividing talents and interests into a whole that can be added to by anyone who feels inspired?

I'm not sure I remember you but that's probably because I'm a terrible member and friend.
Good luck with your endeavors.
oh hell yes, flavor is back. if you're looking for a collab, i'd suggest sticking a week or two after clockday, usually the rebound for collaborative efforts begin anew after that.
