A bunch of people bought Sim City and can't play it because the DRM servers got overloaded and it's literally impossible to play it.

This is why always-online DRM is fucking stupid.

Personally, I would never buy a game with DRM like this, in the hope that someday EA will learn to not be such cock suckers

They use this to try and counteract pirates, but all they are doing is giving themselves a bad name as I am pretty damn sure the pirates will find a way around this anyway.

From watching some of the game play videos and looking at features and such, while taking into account the DRM server issues I'm thinking I may pick this up in a few months when the price goes down and they have all of their shit together.

Meanwhile I'm gonna go play some Tropico.

Make sure you build plenty of statues of El Presidente. There should be minimum 10 statues per citizen on the island.

Amazon stopped selling it and EA stopped advertising the game to try to help the ongoing server connection issues.

Sad to see such a venerable IP come to this.
