I would like to learn C, or C ++, or really any coding language that could be useful for the future, but I just don't quite know where to start. If anyone would be willing to help me through the process of learning to code, it would be greatly appreciated. I could add you on facebook or steam or something of the sort, if you want to help :)
you can just join a course irl you know

Still in high school, there aren't many opportunities to learn at 16 sadly.

in high school you have more free time than you would have in college or as a fulltime working slave. and I really doubt you need to be 18+ to join.
maybe getting money to join would be tricky because idk how expensive they are those courses but oh well

Oh yah, I saw your message, but I forgot to reply :( It's also gone now and I forget what you said D:
That makes two of us :wiebel:
http://c.learncodethehardway.org/ looks like a good resource for C.
http://www.learncpp.com/ looks like a good resource for C++.
I don't know which of the two languages it's advisable to start with. I haven't learned either. C++ is C with object-oriented features and stuff, apparently. This guy (http://simpleprogrammer.com/2012/12/01/why-c-is-not-back/) says maybe learn something else.
C++ is a higher-level language than C. If you learn C++, though, you'll be able to learn any other high level language (all those "LEARN THIS CODE EASILY!" tutorials that never worked for you will suddenly make a ton of sense) but C is more efficient/versatile (though not as easy to change modes/mindsets/platforms), just not as easy (which sounds cool but C++ really might be more useful if you're learning stuff yourself)
if you want a *JAVA* sensei, I can at least teach you enough to be able to learn from those tutorials. I have like every assignment saved from my course on it, I guess I could look at them and reverse engineer what we learned that week. Java's really similar to C++ as far as actually writing stuff. It's kind of OOC to a fault and I flipping hope you like memorizing which one class from which one library you'll want for a project
anyone who knows what they're doing will look at what I typed and know I'm kind of an idjit, but IF NOBODY ELSE STEPS FORWARD I will show Bouche enough to at least be able to teach himself and try not to fill his beautiful sponge-like mind with my bad habits (with the exception of using Java)
Java is like the programming equivalent of ActionScript. Resource-hog, but easy to share, and I don't want to learn something more impressive because I already know it.
Oh oh oh oh oh oh oh hey Boohs

Well, I guess I wouldn't mind starting with Java. I'm ready when you are!
