Title: Terraria Journey's End community server
Post by: Thor on November 28, 2019, 12:54:52 AM
I'm planning on buying a server for a couple months when the final Terraria update comes out in a few months from now (or however long it takes). If you're interesting in playing post here. Me and polyhedronclock are already going to play it.

I'm probably going to force making a new character for the server. Considering the way Terraria works, with limited resources on a map (particularly chest items and heart crystals) it might get a bit hard to find all the items you need. Plus, beating certain bosses permanently changes the game map (such as killing wall of flesh). So in other words, join the server early and grind or you'll get buttfucked by teleporting hard mode enemies. The problem with allowing outside characters is that somebody can just come in to the game already with end-game gear and fuck that

One thing to decide is if we should do "expert mode" or not on the server. Expert mode makes it really difficult to beat bosses solo but they're a lot more manageable if we can get many clocks online at the same time to take it down. Right now I'm thinking of just doing normal mode, largest map size. Post any thoughts and opinions ITT and if you plan to join us, we probably have a long time to wait until it's out anyway

IP: 192.169.82.138
Port: 8289
password: original king of the portal, all lowercase
New characters only! I don't have the mod for server-side characters so honor system here. It's okay to use some throw-away singleplayer map to farm for some crafting items but if you come in with boss items i'm banning you from the server
EDIT: Still getting some shit to work, might need like 30 mins
