Title: Turkey Burgers are superior.
Post by: PimpMasterKDOG on March 20, 2008, 05:49:01 PM
Turkey burgers pwn traditional beef burgers any day of the week.

I'm in college, have an apartment, and cook for myself, so I recently made the switch from ground beef to ground turkey when making anything that requires ground meat, because I wanted to be a bit healthier.  They are so fucking good and easy to make.

Burger:
1 package of ground turkey (Jennie-O or store brand, but get 93/7, not ground breast)
1 small onion, diced
1-2 cloves of garlic, finely chopped
Tobasco sauce
Salt + Pepper
Shredded cheddar cheese (fist full)

Guacamole:
1 ripe Avocado
some of the onion and garlic from above
Salt + Pepper
Red pepper flakes
Lemon juice to taste

Mix the burger ingredients.
Cook in hot pan with light coating of olive/vegetable oil.  Flip once.  They're done when firm to the touch.  Makes 4 burgers.
Top with guacamole and serve on a toasted bun with whatever fixins' you like.

This is one of those threads that I wanted to start, but didn't for some reason.

Yes, Turkey Burgers are much, much better.  The meat is always soft and juicy not hard or grizzly.  It's also supposed to be better for you, but I don't give a crap about that.

I also use turkey burger to make tacos.  This is awesome as all fuck.
