Didn't they just come out with Meet The Spartans?
Can't they take a break from torturing the human race?

it doesn't look nearly as bad as meet the spartans

it doesn't look good

but I guess I want to compare it with... Scary Movie 4.

So at around 1:40 I recognized Drake Bell. It was at that point that I realized just how shitty this movie is going to be.

Yeah, I've seen previews of this on TV. Even though it says "from the makers of Scary Movie and The Naked Gun", I'm not so optimistic about it.

Damn, I wonder what happened to that funniness that satire movies from the 80's and early 90's such as The Naked Gun, Airplane!, and others had?

Nowadays people want to shove direct references right in your face instead of making up their own shit that makes fun of the concept of a movie.

Get Smart is definately a TV series made to parody James Bond and other action movies, but it's it's own thing. Austin Powers was similar in that it was made to parody Bond movies, but it also was it's own thing. Now we get people not wanting to make parodies of movie concepts, but people saying "okay let's take spiderman and put in lame humor at random places".

That, and also throwing unfunny sex jokes and overused pop culture references one after another.

It was over when people got the crazy idea in their head that mixing hip-hop into movies made them funnier.

I love Good Burger, but I was more referring to people thinking that a breakdance-off between Spartans and those other guys is funny.
And black guys voicing penguins who talk like gangsta.

This one particularly upset me because it's clearly just the first Spiderman film in almost every way. It's like the shitty parodies you get on Newgrounds. At least most of the other films these guys have done have spoofed lots of different things, even if they did it in a really terrible way.

these people won't stop because these films are made for the lowest common denominator, people see it, because they think it's going to be funny, and these are the same people who laugh at fart jokes and have killed their brains completely with copious amounts of alcohol.

the only way I can see these movies stopping is the raise the intelligence of humanity. A lot.

I think I read somewhere that most of the audiences that go to see these movies are teenagers anyway, so these films are actually CREATING the stupid people you talked about.

Luckily, I have witnessed hope for humanity. I was in my Algebra class and everyone agreed with me when I said Date Movie was quite possibly the worst movie of all time... except for one girl:(

Let's see, Meet The Spartans was released January in the U.S. (Against my better judgment, I watched it BUT ONLINE FOR FREE SO I HAVE NO QUALMS ABOUT WAISTING MONEY. After 5 minutes I wanted to kill myself and stopped.)
The Comebacks was released in October, just 3 months before Meet the Spartans.
Superhero Movie is scheduled for a March release, just 2 MONTHS after Meet the Spartans.

Yeah, looks like it has a chance of being watchable, but the rap song during the trailer is making me iffy.
I think I have some sort of problem with rap songs in trailers.  I need help.

That's actually a pretty awesome idea though. They've done stuff about bumbling superheroes before but not one about a superhero who's potentially awesome but just really out of it.

For some reason I busted out laughing when he threw the whale back into the water and it hit the sail boat. Also maybe cause he also said "I don't remember that..." and the other guy is like "Green Peace does." That or the whale's sound as it was flung back into the water.

Why do people in movies always have to make weird hand gestures when referencing "hip" internet things?

YouTube [slide hand]

I think I've noticed this a lot of times before, or maybe just in the Hancock trailer, can't remember.
