posting here so I won't forget to add you when I go downstairs to get my DS.
did we have a reallly old topic for this reallly old game
I really want to buy it, just really short on funds this season. I need a fucking job.
Just don't have interest in this whole pokemon thing...you need to trade a fuckillion things to make them evolve
I went and bought Pearl and stopped playing after a day or two.
I should probably pick it back up, but don't really have any motivation.

I can give you cool pokemon for free is that motivation?
I picked up Pearl about a month ago to finally see what this Pokemon craze is about.
I still don't really get the appeal. Yu-Gi-Oh! I get (it's a really interesting and deep card game with lots of possible strategies), but Pokemon just seems too simple and repetitive.
I only have like 6 Pokemon right now, though, so maybe later I'll understand, although it will probably be another six months before I feel the urge to play the game again, especially with 3 discs of the much more compelling Lost Odyssey I still need to play.

Honestly if you want to experience Pokemon at its best is better to start from the good old Red/Blue games.
I also see the YuGiOh game the same way as you btw, but then everybody stopped playing and so did I.
I was really baller at Yu-gi-oh and now that you mention I'm going to try and find a good DS game that'll let me play or something.
blahhhh.
Anyone remember the Pokemon TCG on game boy, i think it was color?
man, i had so much fun with that game.
I just bought Diamond today and would like to trade and do all that cool stuff so help me and hi.

Unfortunately there is no way you can play it via DS unless you use R4 now.

That's how they make their money.
I have awesome hacked Pokemon tell me if there's anything you're looking for in peticular.
I own Diamond, and I beat the Elite Four. Then I felt kind of depressed that it was over. I kept telling myself "there's still more to do!" and that kept me playing for a bit. I also then kind of got bored when there was no one to play it with. Then I lost my DS. When I finally found it again, the top screen was cracked on the inside. SO I CANNOT SEE ANYTHING ON THE TOP SCREEN! BROKEN DS = ANGRY AND SAD
The Pokemon craze is that you could have an array of "magical beasts" that would fight for you, some of them with kickass looks, and some cute-as-a-button. When you had friends that got into it, you had an edge because you could play it with them. You could also get the GCube/Wii games for it and play it on there. It was extremely long and hard to completely finish the game.
So it was good for both genders, fun with friends, bi-compatable, and a good 300+ hours of gameplay.

I certainly hope you lived to play the times Pokemon was on the real moments as for Red/Blue/Yellow/Gold/Silver/Crystal.
