You may or may not have noticed my absence over the past few days. I was busy moving to Germany! I'm here now for the next few months, in a town in the south called Tübingen.
Here are some photos I took of the place (I'd post this in the photography forum but there's not much of an art to the pictures I took. They're mostly just holiday snaps.):

because pineapple is dead
R.I.P.

Damn you CoalClock, I thought 7 people replied to my thread.
I wish I was in Germany.

sorry for derailing yer topic LeekClock
A statue of PineappleClock would fit great in front of a library.

aaah what a nice, typical german town!
Blau Affe.
Ich bin guht.
I don't know any german.
I like the second to last picture the best Leek.
I envy you.
I always wanted to go to Germany.
Looks like a very interesting place.
The one with the 2 people standing overlooking the town sorta looks like the town from the original Charlie and the Chocolate Factory movie.

it looks horrible leave germany now and never return
Leek arrives in Belgium and shit hits the fan in the government.
Leek leaves Belgium and most of the shit is going for the better.
:thinknot:
The pictures are great, they look like paintings, especially the first two. They have this hint of surrealism.
I'd love to see the one with the ivy in color.
Quote from: MSPaintClock;1265012Ich bin guht.
"Es geht gut" I believe is the proper response, however, "ich bin gut" translatex to "I am good," so I suppose both are acceptable.

You could also translate it to 'I am fine', but either way is fine with me...

In german I've learned all the numbers and colors and that's about it.
Wow it looks like a really beautiful place
Guten tag

"Es geht gut" is more like "it works well"
and "ich bin gut" is rather a self-praise as in "i am great/awesome"
usually you would say "mir geht es gut"
anyway,
awesome photos you got there leek
those with the rusty old doors and the flaking advertisements are looking very interesting
Thanks for the glowing praise!
This evening I met a student here in Germany who not only studies in Ghent (where I just moved from) but also lives next-door to my girlfriend there. I couldn't believe it

"Es geht gut" is "it's going well" not "it works well" which would be ""es funktioniert gut." But yeah, either "mir geht's gut" or "es geht mir gut" are
the most commonly used forms.

"gehen" is a common synonym for "funktionieren"
i just wanted to say, that "es geht gut" sounds really broken as an answer to a "how are you?"-question :D
