I was going to read Slaughterhouse five last year but I decided to read Ragtime instead.
It's sad that more people here read Stephen Colbert than Kurt Vonnegut. I kind of want to kill myself now.

i find it hedard to get ahold of any of his books, i looked in both my new bookstore and my used bookstore and came up short. definitely going to order some of amazon next time i come into the cash.
i'm not allowed to have a library card for whatever reason.
I find it hard to get excited about that story. What do you like about it?
I've read Slaughterhouse Five and Mother Night by Vonnegut. I think he was quite the good author.
I read Slapstick and thought it was quite nice.
every other hipster on the block is seen carrying/reading Kurt Vonnegut, and it almost makes me feel bad for how much I enjoy his stuff. If you read slaughter house 5, you have to read Breakfast of Champions, the two are directly linked and work really good together. I've read other, and plan to over time to finish all of his published works, great author, very enjoyable reads.

I just finished reading God Bless you Dr. Kevorkian. It was some funny shit. I never realized that Vonnegut was material for hipsters. Quite frankly I could give a shit less what hipsters are doing.
I've also read Mother Night, Player Piano, Armageddon in Retrospect, Man Without A Country, Cats Cradle, Breakfast of Champions, and Slaughterhouse Five. Least that's what I remember off the top of my head. Either way he's a real page turner.

I've read slapstick and a few short stories, someone just handed me the book so i read it ha ha, its actually very interesting! I love the way he writes, although i've been told that slapstick is a break away from how he usually does things. Either way, i'm diggin it.
I have a shitload of vonnegut books that I just keep rereading every few years

Hipsters only like Vonnegut because he died. Same happened with Thompson a few years ago. The truth is, hipsters don't read those books you see them with, reading isn't hip... unless is Jhonen Vasquez comics, if you call comics "reading."
If anyone hasn't read Cat's Cradle, do so. You can read it on the toilet in a few short craps. My favorite book evarr.
