So i bought this fabulous program the other night, but they forgot to give me a serial number! So rather then bother them for one i found WHAT SEEMED like a friendly keygen, and being the rather large idoit i am i got me a big ass trojan horse right up my ass. I keep getting an error message about something that needs to be deleted but when i choose to delete it it just asks to restart my computer and shows the message agian upon relogging. My computer now lags like shit and cannot connect to the internet, and i have no experience with these little shits so just hold my hand. I'm on a school computer right now.
tl;dr breadfruit is a big dumb head and needs help removing a virus
Where did you save this particular keygen? Have you been DISINFECTING the immediate area?
Quote from: BrainChild;1288724Where did you save this particular keygen? Have you been DISINFECTING the immediate area?
Keygen was deleted before i knew i was infected, i do remember getting alot of "TROJAN FOUND" messages when i downloaded it, but it said they were deleted. If i remember correctly, the file it keeps requesting to delete is something like C:\Windows\System32\nnnlol.dll or something like that, which does not even exist (there IS somthing like C:\Windows\System32\nnnloI.dll which wont delete though).
I suggest downloading an antivirus to delete it for you, or you can google the filename and hope there's a free fix for it.
p.s. AVG is free
EDIT: Better yet, get a Mac and avoid viruses altogether.

The filename does not bring up anything, and i kinda want to save my computer rather then buy a new one, especially a yucky Mac.
Nooo~ Not my little baby
Help me sugar!!
googles got nothin on nnnloi.dll
i wonder why the fuck you cant delete it
Quote from: BrainChild;1288735googles got nothin on nnnloi.dll

It says it is being used, which scares me!
Also keep in mind that might not be the right file name, i'm stating that from memory.
hit ctrl+alt+del to open the task manager, then click over to the "Processes" tab. do you see any .exe's running that you don't recognize? if so, how much memory are they using?
I did that and nothing seemed out of the ordinary.
OMG UR FUCKED!
What kind of connection do you have to the internet? If wireless do you know how to maintain a healthy wireless network or does someone in the house take care of it?

Its wireless, i don't touch it. I turned it off before i left the house.
I was kidding :(
I love you :(
I'll sell you one for half price :)
try booting into safe mode and then deleting it, it might be part of a service that's running because of the trojan.
(just start pressing F9 until something happens at boot up)
I would recommend unplugging the router completely for about a minute and removing then reinserting any cards, however, do not remove or insert any card while power is being flowed through it. It will combust and you will be saddened.

Safemode does seem like a good idea, i didn't attempt it yet (and if it wasn't for you i wouldn't even know how to attempt it).

I don't have a card i have something that connects by usb, and it didn't seemed to be on (theres a blue light that blinks, and it wasn't blinking!).
Safemode is a perfectly fine idea.
I won't have access to said infected computer for a few hours, can the trojan do any damage while the computer and internet are shutdown?
I don't know what it could be doing. If you turned off your internet connection, at least you know personal information is staying on your hard drive.
Don't sugar coat it, doctor, i can take it.
Can it be slowly eating away at my computer, even if the computer is shut down. :(
lmao no i dont think it brought a battery pack with it
gugfruit you suck
You might have to chew it off at the ankle to survive.

throw it in a lake and if it sinks you got rid of the trojan but if it floats the trojan remains so you'll have to burn it to ashes

Well as it's a trojan it shouldn't do to much damage at the moment, it's mostly a dormant virus as far as I remember, so getting rid of it before it starts to do serious damage is a good idea.
Safe booting and a system restore should work.
Reformatting? System restore? real men find the source of the problem themselfs and then safeboot and go ORAORAORA MUDAMUDAMUDA at it.
I had something like that, took me a few days to kill off, deleting the file constantly, and finding help on those public tech sites. Google up your problem, and see if you can find anything that related to it.
don't use windows!
also anyone remember sub7, boy those were the days :'c

AVG detected and deleted about 4 things, and everything seems to run smooth now. Lets just hope this lasts.
Victory dance!
If it lags, it takes up alot of your computer's processing power. Close out of everything, press CtrlAltDelete, then go to processes, scroll around figure out what has a big ass number in the CPU column (the numbers are % of processing power your computer is using on that application) click on that process, and END IT. If it won't delete, just tell it to stop working. Just like sending a troublesome worker home on permanent vacation without killing them :).
silly, never download keygens
get a computer-guy, i hear they sell them down at the grocery store.
Ugh, still got some major issues.
Google doesn't work most of the time for some reason, and my computer is very slow with loading anything. And no viruses are detected. :/
You sure you got rid of that infected keygen? Make sure it didn't make any babies or whatnot in your c drive.
Do a system restore. Or run Norton Antivirus. Norton is probably the best one out there.
OH! You may have a rootkit!
I'm surprised that with our group we had a bunch of relatively helpful ideas and only one about what it sounded like you actually did.
I can't tell if I'm proud of you guys or ashamed of myself for thinking of the latter.

type -r -b -g or whatever that code is into the command prompt, thats what i had to do to find an msn worm
Blacklight Rootkit Detector (ftp://ftp.f-secure.com/anti-virus/tools/fsbl.exe)
Best give this a try to make sure that virus didn't put a backdoor in your system.
Last time i was on my internet speed was 1/5 of what it used to be, some search engines (google ect) and other sites would only work some of the time, and Gmail would not work at all for some reason.

Ugh, this seems impossible. Help me ClockCrew. :(
Get another antivirus and use that?
You may need to hire some guy to fix it for you, or format your C: drive...
Dell customer service man made everything go away.
Costly, but worth it. What a happy night!
Quote from: Balsac the Jaws of Death;1290554What did he tell you to do? Seriously I need to know this.
I didn't do anything, he controlled my computer and downloaded his own programs to deal with it.
I was about to mention Avast anti-virus
the best free antivirus software out there.
oh well.
