Heya Clock Crew. I'm doing a research paper on Scientology, and it would be really swell if you guys helped me find some great anti-Scientology sources, or better yet, pro-Scientology sources that defeat themselves (a la the Tom Cruise video).
I've already got xenu.net, lisamcpherson.org, and Wikipedia. Let's see how much info we can get.
EDIT: General facts on cults, especially the traits that the CoS and most cults share, would be great too.
EDIT2: Rough draft is due tomorrow, by the way.
Hey. Here is a video where they interview an Ex- Scientologist. Hope it helps!

Yes, yes! That's the stuff.
The entire Chanology website?
Yknow, Anonymous. Scientology. RL internet war extravaganza.
Should ring a bell.

What a shitty topic to do for a research paper IMO.

Not really. It's fairly big in the national news, and it's practically a cult, just much larger. Lots of shenanigans to dig deep in. It's supposed to be persuasive as well, which seems a bit contradictory for a research paper, but it works, as I am finding out. Furthermore, seeing as I'm in high school, it's only 7-9 pages
double spaced. Also, I loved VR Troopers when I was a kid.

Ah, yes. Forgot about that one. Thank you.
For one reason or another, debasing or dissecting an established religion seems like a terrible choice as a topic for an academic assignment to me.

Read above post. It's supposed to be biased.
If you're doing a research paper, it would help a lot to choose sources that are regarded as scholarly. I did a quick search in JSTOR (which you likely don't have access to), and found several articles you could use. So they exist, at least.
Here is Directory of Open Access Journals (http://www.doaj.org/). Maybe there's something there.

Sadly, I found nothing. "scientology" and "L. Ron Hubbard" both turned up nothing.
