Title: SheezyDisappointment
Post by: Mangosteen Clock on April 30, 2008, 02:42:24 PM
Great way to fail, SheezyArt.

So, last night, I was browsing SheezyArt, when I came across this picture on the front page.

http://www.sheezyart.com/view/1760885/ (http://www.sheezyart.com/view/1760885/)

That was disappointing itself. I was in awe. I could not believe the audacity of someone to actually call the Nazi uniform "beautiful". So from there, I left a comment.

(Comments were deleted, original comments found here (http://fc01.deviantart.com/fs28/f/2008/122/f/c/various_by_Notoorjus.jpg).)

The response I got to my comment made me sick.

Your thoughts?

Neither the Third Reich's military uniform or this drawing are disgusting. It's your fault and your fault alone that you're upset about this.

You should learn to appreciate art for art's sake.

EDIT: Furthermore, the fact that the administrator who put this on the front page was able to see it as a legitimate work of art while you immediately saw it a negative light should be more than enough to explain why you're the one who's in the wrong here.

While you might be overreacting a tad, this annoyed me:
QuoteOh boo hoo, didn't happen in my life time, honestly can't say I care. [-_-]  Hell, I don't care about "horrible things" that happen today.

As where I can respect style when I see it. And evidently I'm not the only one. [=P]

I'd like to know how many shitty internet kids like that have actually seen a human life as it's ending.

I mean, we've all seen pictures of human atrocities, and dudes decapitated by wrought-iron fences on ogrish or whatever, but it's quite another thing to actually watch someone breathe their last breath, in person.

I'd wager the large majority of "misanthropic nihilistic freaks" would be firmly unsettled by the experience.
I'm not exactly a people person or anything, but finding yourself divorced from concern over human death is like betraying your species.

Everything that was ever conceived in Germany's Nazi period should be removed from existance as obviously it embodies the same racist ways of those nasty people from way back when Germany was called Reichland. Fuck Volkswagons and German 60-year olds, burn them all!

Way to not count anyone except the Jews in the camps (and there were quite a lot more than just them), direct causes in the war on their behalf nor the massacres of civilians in attempts to "cleanse" areas to create "Lebensraum" for the Germans after the war.

Okay this wasn't posted on the front page to support Nazi's, it was posted because it's a decent piece of work in terms of proportion, texture, shading etc. and if you take out the nazi uniform then you have a piece just like 99% of the art on sheezyart. So you can all shut the fuck up and stop whining about some shit posted on the front page of a shit website.

but the fact that the artist likes the uniform has no relation to the artist and their opinions on the nazis. It is equal to a male artist saying they love the male figure, that doesn't mean they're gay.

How was my story a "touch guy" story, as you call it?

I don't have to expect overly bitter responses to what I say, because unlike some people I'm not a complete dick all the time. The only person that gives me bitter responses is usually you.

But then again this is probably one of your failed attempts at humor, or it is a successful attempt of being a dick and a whiny bitch.

Quote from: DWARFINATORclock;1297492How was my story a "touch guy" story, as you call it?

Heh, nice catch.

Quote from: DWARFINATORclock;1297492I don't have to expect overly bitter responses to what I say, because unlike some people I'm not a complete dick all the time. The only person that gives me bitter responses is usually you.

Why do you think I have some personal vendetta against you? You made a lame post, I merely joked about it.

The problem is you think you're above reproach for some reason.

I thought it was pretty relevant to the "have you ever seen someone's life ending" post by Slurpee. I was not bragging about it, what is there even to brag about?

Slurpee asks who has seen a life as it's ending, I say I once ran into a guy with his throat slit. Don't really see anything lame about it?

I'm in no way beyond reproach and if I say or do something dumb by all means make fun of it/me, I just didn't really think deserved the response it did as I was just responding to Slurpee's question.
