As I play it, I can't shake the feeling that its the best in the series.

Symphony is close to this
imo Symphony of The Night is still better.
Best Castlevania game ever, imo. I have every soul, item and 100% complete.
From what I've seen, I should have gotten this instead of Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin.

Portrait's still sick though. It brings a ton of new stuff to the table and polishes a lot of features in Dawn of Sorrow.
I have both and enjoyed Portrait of Ruin a lot more then DOS.
DoS was great, PoR was good but I got stuck and there literally is nothing to do. The game is way too non-linear.
Shit, apparently the name "Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia" has been registered for DS. Can't wait for that. I hope they get a good Belmont character to play as this time.
