I've found that I play Call of Duty and Halo 3 much more effeciently when I'm slightly boozed.
And I don't mean "Whoa bro, I'm so fucking trashed I'm owning these fucking fags!!" Nor am I trying to brag, it's not something I should relatively be proud of but is an odd truth.
Yesterday afternoon I picked up my controller and hadn't been doing so well.
Kill death ratio in the 9-7/17-16 ish area.
After a forty of Mickey's I'd gotten in the 25-4/ 17-9 area.
Anyone else experienced said phenomena?
Yeah i've noticed that, i also gain more attention when i'm drunk.
I know this woman who i play xbox live with on Gears, whenever i play her when she's not drunk i can kick her ass easily, when she's had a lager or two she's actually alot harder to kill.
im never slight boozed, only sober or utterly drunk.

I'd say it's a bit on the alcoholic side.
Every now and then a couple of friends and I grab 40's and hang out in mah room. Listen to music and such...
Their girlfriends grab the computer, we play games.
If that's still too nerdy for you, even coming back from parties pretty polluted but not ready to go to bed I crank up the 360.
But with Halo it had more to do with Halo 2 on teh Xbox.

I play games terribly when I'm drunk but i have a lot more fun. i got in one night and tried to solo deadmines on WoW as a level 43 boomkin, got as far as sneed's shredder. team fortress 2 is always fun when drunk on voice chat.
No, I've never had anything like that, you probably just got plenty of flukes because there is no apparent reason why you'd get better at gaming when you're slightly bozed.

my teory of this may be because the alcohol relax the body and liberate the frustration and making you more concentrate.

it's because you're acting more automatically, less thought is going into the process.
i play drunken gears or gta4 all the time it's great fun especially if you're doing the best.
I can only sing in RockBand and pass when drunk.

Maybe because your actions are alot less predictable. I find when I'm drinking and trying to play games, I have alot more fun but I pay less attention and don't really care what is going on.

i've always wanted to get trashed and go on XBL, but haven't really gotten around to it
anyway one memory that sticks out is when i was beating my friends in halo and i was a lot more drunk then them llol

On another note, and before any of guitar players come in and get their panties in a bunch I understand Playing the Guitar and Playing Guitar Hero require two differents sets of skills. BUT! I'd beaten a friend of mine who plays in a band and is/was better than me at guitar hero, while I was drunk.
He even looked at me afterwards like.. :confused:

I know you guys might play better while drunk but really wouldn't that just make you pass out while playing, usually when you get slightly buzzed then your alittle drunk, then you had a few too many to drink, then your drunk, then your way above intoxicated, then you pass out, I don't see where you can fit "playing better than before" in that cycle

you drink while you play and i don't pass out i go to sleep. on an average night of drinking the sun is up before i go to sleep.

rock band gets harder to play after drinking or smoking and that's really the only game worth playing
