Title: I need new headphones
Post by: Exclamation Mark on May 16, 2008, 10:29:00 AM
As of this past year I must of gone though 100 headphones, each and every one has been broken on some way.  And I am piss tired of having to go and buy new headphones every other week, and I cannot use speakers due to personal habits.

I need recomendations for new headphones, and they must be able to handle being used for a long time with snapping.

Any suggestions?

Just buy cheap ones, and a whole bunch of them.

get some nice bose or skullcandy headphones, they're expensive but the quality is amazing.

My headphones, which are insanely good.  7.1 surround sound with noticeable bass.  The only problem is that they aren't noise canceling.  They're EXTREMELY comfortable, and they come with a retractable microphone so that it isn't poking out all the time like every other headset ever.

They're crazy expensive though ($70-$100), but //www.woot.com rarely sells them for $25 though (refurbs but they work great, free shipping unless international).  I've seen them on sale twice there, so don't count on them being immediately available.

In TF2 I can actually sense where an explosion is taking place and around how far away it is with these babies.

I like the shound of these (DUUR HURR) especially the idea of them having a retractable microphone, but is the wire durable?

Yeah, it's made out of a really strong cloth, but is still as flexible as any other wire.

Got some of these earbuds for 10 bucks, good sound, fit in my ears well (and came with different sizes if they didn't fit well), and are durable. I suggest these.

Ahaha I thought I was the only one. At least the cushions are plastic and come off easily.

How about bone conduction headphones (http://www.google.com/search?q=bone+conduction+headphones&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a)?  They work by vibrating your skull somehow.

I used to have some Logitech headphones that were pretty good. They generally make good products relatively inexpensively.
