If someone (especially offline, outside of the Clock Crew, whatever) asks you if you're any good at drawing, what do you say?

My simplistic style kinda makes me say "I'm not the best, but at least I can do it."

I can draw but I never limelight myself about it. I  just like to give drawings to random friends whenever hanging out

Yes, I like to draw when I have time for myself, and if you should like to see some of my drawings,  maybe some of my Newgrounds friends has some I have passed around. My drawings for now are only done with a mouse, I wish I had a tablet because drawing with a mouse ( especially a ball-mouse that always fucks up and the direction of it makes me want to fucking snap the thing in half ) is very frustrating, and the end result is not nearly as good as if i would to be drawing onto a piece of paper, or if I had a tablet.

I say "not really" because I'm not really good at drawing

Well, no. But I am trying to get better. Mainly doodling when I should be paying attention in Geometry.

I can't draw for shit

I'm modest, nay, pessimistic about my drawing abilities.  I have the potential but am way too lazy to learn anatomy or proper shading/perspective.

I went for the modest option, as I can draw on paper I cannot on the PC even though I have a tablet.

Only if I have a reference. And only if I check that reference every five seconds to make sure it looks right.
Basically the same as tracing without the command functions doing the work.

im decent i guess, but i hate spending time on things, and id rather draw something shitty, then draw a massive vein-filled cock on it.   its always good for some cheap laughs.

I would say "Well, I'm not incredible. It depends on what I'm trying to draw."

I'm very good compared to IRL people, but when i see people over the internet's work i cry. I'm trying to get better as it is, step one is learning photoshop.

My answer is often something like "I can draw cartoons pretty good" or something like that.

While I can draw cartoons to a certain degree, I'm definitely amateur. Doesn't help that I was always trying to do Japanese crap when I was younger, I've been trying to make my style look as un-Asian as possible nowadays. And I've been succeeding, even if I haven't been improving much.

Of course, people are usually impressed when I make some half-assed doodle, considering how few people can actually draw or use computers around here.

I envy artists who can actually go to draw something with an end result already in mind. I normally just have to ass around with my attempts at rendering something until it looks so bizarre people think any mistakes I may have made were intentional.

Still, I can communicate a shape or an idea well enough. That puts me ahead of the game if I ignore the thought that I may never freehand a portrait.

i am, im learning how to use flash as well. you should check out ||TUCO||'s work .

When i said "faces", i meant "cartoony faces". I can't draw realistic head shapes :wiebel:.

When people ask "can you draw?" they're really asking "can you draw realistically?". I'd say no. I'm not very practiced in that discipline.
