These days all you guys want to do is events, why can't you just think of your own theme for a movie and make and submit it whenever you want? I've gotten to the point where I don't even want to participate in an event anymore because every day I get 10 people telling me to join 10 different shitty events.

I like events but I can agree that there can be an overflow of events at times, it should be a carrot and not a neccecity for producing works of flash :D

So can normal animation, and it would help people to think of subjects for their movies instead of all doing the same thing. Clockday, Halloween and Christmas are fun, but lately there has been an event overload and I'm annoyed by it.
Events are fun when there aren't 20 events a month.
I think events inspire people to make flash who normally wouldn't motivate themselves because of the community spirit thing. But I can agree with Dwarf that people should be able to motivate themselves.

Then you seem to have an issue with individuals and their lack of originality, and not the events themselves or their frequency, for there is just as much chance for an individual to express himself in a unique and creative manner as part of a group event, as there is with a solo project.
As ChesireClock rightly pointed out, we are a group, and not to offer group events is to neglect one of our main strengths.
I thought we animated for fun.

I did not say that events are bad, I just think this many events are bad. It's like people are making up events just for making up events.

I agree with Dwarfy, we do have too many events. Back in the day we just had the obvious ones (Xmas, Halloween, etc), but now there seems to be five events for each day of each month. Seriously guys, what happened to making flash just for fun?
