If you really want, I think you can get them at a military supply store.

Dude, for a while when I was little, my family was really poor, and we got MRE donations... They were bloody fantastic from what I can remember... Of course thats comparing them to cabbage and beans, which were all we could afford at the time.

MRE's are actually great (most of them). They all come with some kind of brand name candy/snack, too, so that's a plus. I remember the chili mac being good. A lot of the stuff that comes with the heating kit actually turned out to be good. They are like 3000+ calories, though. That kind of sucks.

Quote from: Mosrhun;1360729The best ones are of the pasta and tomato sauce variety, they all taste the same, like speghetti and ravioli. The ravioli comes with a brownie. :)

Definitely. I think I remember there being a good meatloaf one, and one that was... turkey and mashed potatoes? Or maybe it was chicken...

The "milk shakes" were pretty gross, though. I always liked getting the Tootsie Rolls.

Yup, AD for 4 years now.
My AFSC is 2W0X1 (Munitions System) - AMMO *IYAAYAS :P*
I am a missle programmer and work on the datafields and postbits needed to program authentication from encrypted signals etc. Basically a data enterer and debugger for missle systems.

I am still just a measly E4 sadly, tested for E5 waiting on results. Thats when Crans been Losper :-)

I go to the sand box again here in Sep.. i will be sad this time.

Quote from: Mosrhun;1360818Lol, I just made E-4. I don't care if I ever pass it either.

Twas a nice pay increase.. considering the military lifestyle is an exspensive one. You would think it would be easy to bring in your own food to eat on a 12-16 hour shift... nope.. thank god for McDonalds.

I make a nice 1,298.21 after taxes every 15 days... Thank god for that cause if I was still an e-2 I would definatly be filing for welfare and foodstamps

I knew a girl in munitions. She hated it, but she also hated being stationed at Aviano in Italy, so maybe something was wrong with her. Good luck with the results. They should be released soon, right?

Where to in the ME? How long? Hopefully not stuck with those shitty Army people. *cough*

Rightfully so, she should hate Munitions its complete bullshit haha. It makes me want to punch someone in the face like every day. 12-16 hour shift bull every day with F/L support and Alert jets make cranberry a very busy person.

In the ME I will be stationed at Bhalad for a few months. Shouldn't be to bad.. though every day theres mortar attacks and stray bullets being flinged at us.. I guess thats what Phase2 Excercises are for right? Though we play with rubber ducks haha.

I used to eat some of the British style military ration stuff, for when you were away from your base or whatever it was awesome because there was like baked beans and sausages, angel delight (thats horrible by the way), hot chocolate, a pack of matches and 6 water proof matches,  and like 4 boiled sweets which was a nice touch and I bet it made people happy.

EDIT: what the fuck you Americans get skittles this is an outrage
