Title: Having an issue with regular recording.

^Basically the same as this but not stereo mix.

So for some strange reason, my computer just decided to stop being able to pick up audio from microphones.  I've tested it on two microphones in two separate mic jacks, and whenever I record something it barely picks up anything.  It worked yesterday, now it doesn't.  The only thing that may have even slightly affected anything is when I Fraps'd a CS video and turned off all mic input except for stereo mix, but I changed that back.

Anyone know what the problem might be?

^What my settings are currently at.

Try reinstalling your sound card drivers if you have any?

(It's what fixes most things)

I had that problem with my on-board Realtek sound card. Sometimes it would work, sometimes it wouldn't. After trying trying every driver I could get my hands on with no avail, I gave up and bought a SoundBlaster Audigy.

I tried reinstalling the CD audio drivers.  Didn't work.  I tried installing the audio drivers on Gigabyte's website.  Didn't work.

How much do sound cards cost and how would I install one?
