I'm just starting to really practice drawing with a mouse. It's a real pain in the ass, but I'm getting the hang of it. One of the things I decide to do as practice was to draw a self-portrait. I began by tracing a photo of myself in Flash so that I could have a basic line structure of my face. I then added color in Photoshop. It's a very basic drawing, but it's a start.

What do you think of this attempt? I know it's nothing much, but I will definitely improve from here. :)
You look a lot like a guy before me in my guitar lesson. Try adding a bit of depth or shading I looks a bit flat at the moment, and neatening the lines up a bit. The shapes nice though.
tbh it looks like a really bad trace
except for the nose, which just looks like shit
Blur will not save you now. Practice by doing lots of sketches first. Plot out the shapes, don't just draw an outline.
O RLY AHAHA
Oh and smooth tool can be your best friend when using a mouse + brush.
Coloring in flash is as easy as using the paint bucket tool. If you like, you can even make a group, paint the regions of color with the brush and then move that group under the one with your lines on it. Never blur it. It looks disgusting.
Thanks for the advice guys. Like I said, I'm new to drawing with a mouse. I usually prefer the good old fashioned pencil and paper. :)
The initial outline looked better. Try adding details like wrinkles and individual strands of hair. Add little things, even if they aren't really there. Also, you look like Jesus.
