I was listening to the Jet Set Radio soundtrack while I was being awesome a while back, and decided I loved Statement of Intent. I looked up bis, fell in love, and bought their first album, and really I should be posting the entire album. But here's this.

I can't check YouTube for any possible videos, but bigbadron turned me on to Feed the Animals (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Feed_the_Animals) by Girl Talk recently and it's pretty fucking great. I'm not sure how well known he is, but for this album he basically takes samples from dozens and dozens of popular songs and mixes them together to create whole "new" songs. One of them has Lil Mama singing "Lip Gloss" over the main riff to Metallica's "One", for example.
The entire album can be downloaded for free, if you choose (like Radiohead and NIN have done), from right here. (http://74.124.198.47/illegal-art.net/)
oooh! How could I forget?

"California over all."
It's ancient political satire reflecting Jello Biafra's concerns about Californian liberal government creating a fascist state. The song was updated to be about Ronald Reagan several years later with the title "We've Got a Bigger Problem Now," and once again upon the election of Governor Schwarzenegger with the title "Kali-Fornia Über Alles 21st Century."
