I've seen Back to the Future and the sequels at least seventy million times each, and the endings always put me on the edge of my seat with my heart racing, even after all those viewings. Part I and II specifically, part III isn't quite as suspenseful. It puts me on the edge of my seat, but the build up to the train wreck isn't quite as heart-racey as Marty racing for the clock tower wire or Doc getting struck by lightning.
What are some other amazingly suspenseful film climaxes you guys can think of?
The BTTF1 climax is my favorite ok.
I am not sure... I haven't seen much movies as in a while and I can't remember others with such great seat-edgers.
I'd say the closest is Mission Impossible on its classic scenes.
Eh.
When I climax.
Despite it being such a bad film waiting for the moment Anakin goes full-out evil kinda had me in suspense.
Also, in Tropic Thunder, the entire time I was watching the movie I was waiting for that kid with the glasses to die. He doesn't.

It's fucking nuts seriously. I've never seen anything more suspenseful
Jurassic Park when they're being chased by the Velociraptors and then suddenly T-Rex shows up and fucks shit up, basically becomes an anti-hero and takes down the raptors.
Yeah the end of BTTF1 is pretty fucking mental alright, the end of Star Wars is pretty tense, the look of stunned relief on Luke's face at the end is pretty accurate
Scream 2.
