Not the same picture, of course.
For some reason I took up doodling in English, quite a while ago. This developed into drawing, and right now my English notebook is slowly becoming a Harley Quinn themed notebook. This is on the cover of the book and I personally think it's coming along swell. Keep in mind this is English Class "doodling", it won't be perfect, but any critique you have will be awesome because I'm working on a picture of Harley and the Joker, then just one of the Joker, I wanna work my skill level up before I attempt him.

Harley Quinn (That's a popgun in the corner, by the way, her huge fucking hammer's in the other corner but the picture'd be too massive to include that too.)
Now, I showed Harley to Flux, and he commissioned (almost, he's not buying it out of A, me being nice, and B, it's illegal because I do not work for DC) a picture of the Scarecrow, again a Batman villain. I'm much less done with this one, it's presently a pencil sketch on canvas board and it'll be cleaned up when I get a kickass eraser, but again, with this being more serious of me to be drawing, critique and such will be helpful! I'm coloring it in when I'm done, so it will probably be more than helpful to me.

I apologize for the lack of quality, my scanner's being a douchebag and won't work, so I had to use my webcam. (I think I need to move the buttons on Scarecrow, what do you think?)
I like how Scarecrow looks.
That's swell, Mistah J-erm, Teddy Bear.
Thank you both!
At least you didn't call me "puddin'", Snake.
I always preferrred "Mistah J".
I think Mistah J does too, I rarely see him kick her ass out of the new place of residence when she says that, as opposed to...puddin'.
Scarecrow strongly reminds me of the carecrow in Toonstruck after being struck with the malevolator, sadly I could only find pictures from before then:

It's impossible to get it to work on XP due to technical things that were taken out after windows 98.
I've played it on Windows Vista once though that was like 2 months after I got Vista, which is a considerable while ago so I have no idea how I did it. I remember trying time after time on XP to no avail though.

You'd think there wouldn't be a DOS emulator on Windows XP?
It has something to do with a specific type of graphic processing that was discarded and (apparently) re-implemented in Vista.

Harley has some most spiffy tone work, and I like the folds and stitches in Scarecrow's coat. But both seem to lack an inherent structure; it's always good to draw a really simple sketch and then draw the good drawing over it, so you can see if the proportions and anatomy is right and not find out they're wrong after making the complex drawing first.

Fine. The scarecrow from Toonstruck was an awesome character. By comparing it with Teddybear's scarecrow, I indirectly complimented her.
Good job teddy bear! Be proud of cadillacclock, your knight in shining armor. OH WAIT

Bringing up a related character =/= derailing.
If I wanted to derail I would've started some stupid shit that would've gotten mass replies, something like "I liek pie lol". Stop being a total fucking carebear for the sake of being a whiny fucking bitch.
Also, ironically, calling somebody "cripple kid" and "hopeless virgin" in one post is one of the better ways to derail a thread.

I prefer the scarecrow look from the new adventures of batman&robin.
Still looks nice though.
Harley Quinn doesn't look "expressive" enough, kinda dull really.
Scarecrow looks much better, more 3D if you will, mainly because of the sharp lines used.

Well anyways I love your scarecrow drawing.
I know we had this whole family get together between Snake, Heinekin and Cadillac and all already, but...
I thought the whole point of Teddy drawing Harley Quinn was to do it in her own style, though mimicing is okay too I guess... Either way, I agree that your rendition needs more expression, no matter which way you cut the cake.

While I work on my Scarecrow picture, seeing as it's more important to me, you guys can see a shitty picture of a diptych of some flowers that resemble vaginas that I painted and sold and was too much of an idiot to take a picture of both with anything but my phone! Enjoy! That I also didn't get paid nearly enough for!
Those are actually remarkably less shitty than the initial drawings.
I have decent pictures of the outlines of those flowers that I took with a legitimate camera, actually.
xD I'm such an idiot.

Those images show me fantastic artwork, great technique. However I cannot tell if they are oil pastels or paintings. If it is pain, then what kind, acrylic or oil?

Paint, gouache.
It's in between watercolor and acrylic, it's got the coloring capability of an acrylic and it sticks to more than just toothed paper, but it's water based.
Basically the paint is watercolor with chalk in it.
I like gouache, a lot. A lot of people don't know about it, or even like it at all.
I won my high school junior year's art show contest thing with a gouache painting.

I should look into this *gouache* paint. I am currently working with watercolor colored pencils for my graphic novel. It's nice and I like the control of the pencils, but still getting the pasty look after I apply water with brush. I'm a real acrylic man myself, seeing as it is SOOOOOO much more forgiving than oil based paints. However, I do
love oil pastels; my father has done some amazing pieces with them.
Do you have any other pieces to look at, I am rather interested in these pieces and I would love to see more (if you aren't against show casing).
Listening to all this talk about traditional media, I really should install Corel Painter on this thing. I mean, I've got version IX right there on my shelf. :p

Portrayal of time.
I wanted to essentially hint at "woah shit time goes so fast you can't see it and when you realize it's there, it's gone!" type of thing.
I like how it looks even if it was supposed to have a meaning, if it doesn't look like it has one it's still cool to me.

It looks like all the criticism has been touched on, but I can't seem to locate her arms... :c
I like the idea though. I just have one question: Why would she be wearing a corset and nothing else save a very shody leaf skirt. They don't cover anything, so why have them at all. It's not even the leaf skirt thingy either. It's really just the corset out of place.
So here's what I think: you should commit to dressing her or undressing her, no fence-sitting. The leaf skirt can (probably) stay though, seeing as it probably has more spiritual sentiment than clothing purposes.
EDIT: Also, I'll be making two drawings now. One with regular ol' Lump & Teddy. The other one will be X-Rated, just for Flux (not too x-rated though).
