Sent to alternative school for a month.
I was at a robotics competition, and my good buddy and chief engineer was one of those guys that likes to walk around trying doors and messing with stuff. At the end of the day he dumped out his backpack on the ride home and went showed off some of the gadgetry that he hijacked from one room or another, stuff he wanted to play with. I thought it was good stuff but I let him know that I didn't see what he just got, for legal reasons.
Week later I get an email with security photos of my entire group walking in. I relay it to the engi and he got a bit worried, though we hadn't been identified yet and I wasn't about to blow the whistle.
Cops show up a day later. Engi is prepared, he's done legal research. I'm called in first and shown some video footage, and I have to blow myself open to argue that the other ten people at the competition didn't even know what was going on.
Engi is called in. the office has two police officers, one from the county he stole from, the other from home, and my assistant principal. He requests some reference, and my assistant principal runs out to go find it. He let off the entire spiel, all truth, every last detail to the police. They got it on tape. Assistant principal gets back, and the cops say they don't need the thing he has because they got a full confession. AP facepalms. Something about "in loco parentis". Testimony was garbage because he wasn't there. Engi had a good laugh, but ended up getting a slap on the wrist from the school as consolation. I got the same thing for association as per policy. He got to keep over 500$ in spoils, and we both had the most hilarious month in our academic career.
tldr; school punishments are pretty cool, and VW has a cute girlfriend and a lonely teacher
