This is a great article and all that stuff. Really it is.
But how come he needed meditation to figure those out, I deduced these concepts myself a long time ago just by spending time thinking while multitasking. Meh, good for him though.

Common sense; revelations.

A lot of it may seem like common sense, but who really lives their lives the way they want to? It's a nice list of things to remember

I agree with leek. it's easy to say that it's common sense, but it's another thing to put these ideas into practice constantly, which meditation is meant to help you achieve

I actually learned that I have the same beliefs as buddhists, so i'm thinking of informing myself more there too.

I think that maybe my problem understanding is that I am looking at this whole thing as if it's black and white, which it totally is  not.

I mean, he may be less spiritually intuned with god/allah/universe/whatever/kermit and so he uses meditation to achieve the same thing that I do with combining the forces of my heart and mind! Essentially we are using different tools to meet the same end, and I'm an "ends justify the means" type of guy myself.

Sorry if my words caused a commotion or came off as arrogance or pride or overconfidence, which was not the intention or purpose for responding.

He means inherently, though misunderstandings, miscommunications, and a little bit of selfishness go a long way to change people's moods and overall personalities towards others in the long run. I think we should go on to understand that being selfish is not "BAD" it is a way of self preservation, however the combination of all three mortal faults turns people bad. The idea is that we should all put in a little effort to communicate our feelings and needs, understand each others desires and emotions, and come to a happy medium while retaining a little bit of self-preservation. All it takes is a little bit of self-application.

They got this and that and
With a rattle a tat
Testing one two,
Now what you gonna do?
Bad news, misused,
Got too much to lose
Gimme some truth
Now whose side are we on?
Whatever you say
Turn on the boob tube
I'm in the mood to obey
So lead me astray by the way, now

Where'd all the good people go?
I've been changing channels
I don't see them on the TV shows
Where'd all the good people go?
We got heaps and heaps of what we sow

I disagree with the statement that all poeple want to avoid pain. Some people quite enjoy a good spanking.

Meditation has definently helped me out alot, especially in the introspective world.

Many people have noticed that yes,
most of the revelations are absolutely true to common sense. And thats really the frustrating thing to me. Because hardly anyone actually LIVES in a accordance to those ways as obvious as they are.

Guess what everyone is allowed to live their life the way they want.
