There's a lot of country I don't like, but if I find something in the niche of what I like, it can be great.
I don't really think The Allhman Brothers count as country but I really love them.

the only real country movement that's going on now is in ALT COUNTRY, my friend runs a blog that's mostly Alt-Country, if you want to hear the good stuff:

It's shit because every person who owns an acoustic guitar and a normal singing voice thinks they can make country. And do.

I swear to god if they play "Save A Horse, Ride A Cowboy" at my place of work ONE MORE TIME...

Country can be good, so long as it isn't heavily processed and relies too much on so many of the gimmicks that pop-country seems to deem absolutely necessary.

Believe it or not, I don't want to hear about your truck, your dog, or your trailer.

Alt-country and old-timey/bluegrass is excellent, however.

seriously,  country music isn't even a real type of music any more, that's a dead horse for sure. Any critical observations on such genre, is generally a waste of time. Alt-Country on the other hand is supposedly an actual breathing movement in music, that is still very fun to be critical of.

So get cracking you fools, and learn how to make fun of actual music that's being made in country regions, rather then regurgitated commercial music that most people, even the ones who like it know is meaningless.

It's because they're disgusting, tasteless people who only listen to what MTV tells them to. Except now they're also dated, because it isn't 2002 anymore, and rap is squeaky clean.
