I believe socialism will be the end of the US... It will sink us like the hunk of ice that sunk the Titanic. Even Rome fell, and I believe it would be foolish to believe the United States won't. This has caused us to hand out mortgages to people who would never be able to pay them off, and THAT is the reason our country is in a recession. It isn't because of Bush, it isn't because of McCain, it's because of liberals on both sides several years ago made a blatant move towards a socialist concept in the interest of "fairness" to "help the little guy out". The problem is when the government gets put in charge of helping the little guy, the little guy always gets fucked in the end, or the government ends up significantly weaker for it.

I have traveled a good deal, so... I've been to a socialist nation, a new democracy, a dictatorship and a couple republics... and this is just the way I see it. I don't care if anyone agrees with me, because I know I won't be able to convince anybody... To me it is simply a fact, Obama is the absolute worst possible candidate for the presidency of the past US in terms of the strength of the country, but the perfect man to lead us into socialism and the future-praised beginning of the end of the capitalist machine that the country has become so strong on.

It is no wonder why over 80 percent of the world's nations are pro-Obama. Everyone wants their nation to be more powerful than it is. They want strength, they want their own voice. And they don't want America to be a big brother anymore (particularly the countries that would love to wipe us off the map).

These statistics have been used by the media as if to say that "the world is for Obama, why should we protest the world". The problem is that if you co-relate the countries that are most pro-Obama with the countries that are most anti-American, there is a very obvious point to be made. Countries that hate America, love Obama. They know he will be weak on foreign policy, and just as his running-mate said, they will test his resolve... And I fear that they will find our nation strategically weakened dramatically if Obama wins this election.

I see an election as a very long job interview. Obama looks and sounds better in the interview, but his resume is ridiculously short. He's a radical in disguise. Imagine Bill Clinton, but with more lies, closet racism, and ties to fascist and terrorist organizations.

Or, you could say Obama is like a young Nelson Mandela, but without any of the hero-type of experience. You could even compare speeches, and they are almost identical in the concepts they speak/spoke about... The difference is the honesty. The sad thing is that the few conservatives that support Obama, are hoping and voting on the likely-hood of his dishonesty. Because if he does everything he's promised he will do irreparable damage to the nation. They are hoping that he ends up dropping his promises like new-years-resolutions in favor of more realistic and positive changes, while keeping a straight face for the public with his silver tongue.

Obama is actually a very honest politician, he's stood by his principles, and has been mostly honest throughout this campaign. McCain has changed what he's believed to appeal to the base, and, save for a couple freudian slips, has avoided revealing what he believes, because he knows it won't appeal to the base, and he's too right wing to appeal to the left. he's resorted to lying to the stupid so they'll follow him, when what he believes doesn't actually fit to their interests.
Some would call this strategy, I would say that if you can't appeal to the intelligentsia, you do not have the right to lead.

I live in canada, I haven't seen any campaign ads for either candidates, I've only seen their debates, and their speeches.

I think campaign contributions are bad no matter what, and I can understand obama accepting the contributions, how else would he pay for his campaign, running for president is very very expensive.

Also, I haven't been watching much in terms of American politics, so I can't say for sure whether Obama is a good presidential cantidate, but I've only seen bits of a few McCain and Palin speeches and they scare the living shit out of me. I honestly think they will destroy the world as we know it if they win. It's never a good idea to elect any sort of a radical as a leader, especially for as powerful a country as the United States, and radicals are just what the Republicans have shown themselves to be so far. It only took me ten seconds of a McCain speech to see that he was being dishonest. I forget what the subject was, but I actually heard him say something about americans doing what they've always done, which, according to him, was adapting so that they could stay the same. He contradicted himself twice about the same thing in one sentence. How do you even do that? And Palin scares me more. She's being honest enough, I think, but if she isn't, I don't want to know what she's hiding. I mean, what she's been saying is just horrifyingly conservative. Imagine what she hasn't been saying.

I like how the sphere of helpfulness between the political parties shrunk in the last 70 years, switching from the republicans wanting to help every american, to only helping the super-rich.

And the 15% or whatever of americans who still support Bush funnily are all either dirt poor southerners who are stupid enough to believe the republican party is the "more noble choice" or wealthy businessmen who realize its the best way to be assured to more money.
