Title: PS3 problems.
Post by: Scuba Clock on October 28, 2008, 04:23:08 PM
Hello there fellows, I need some help.

My PS3 managed to stop working a while back but I thought it was just the A/V cables considering the bitch still turned on.

I neglected said contraption for a week or two and decided to buy some new cables this weekend.

I put the cables in and set er' up and she still isn't booting up.

Anyone know what the deal is?

If it's relevant, the fan speeds up and slows down right after I turn it on.

On the outside of the actual PS3?

I haven't seen one, plus I wanted to make use of the fucker.
Regardless, they didn't have the bundle with the drum set for the 360.

I found your problem!

You have a Playstation. Somebody must've switched it in for your Xbox while you were sleeping.

That requires too much effort to even be called a game. Sounds like work more than anything else.

Re-rail.

Anyways, I tried that deal already.

I just want to know what's wrong with it so I can get it fixed.
I'm pretty sure it isn't under warranty considering I got it from a Pawn Shop so what's my alternative?

Does you TV have different Settings? Such as HDV Mode or TV or A/V Mode? If so, turn the PS3 on and switch between them until something comes up.

It happened to my dad's PS3 when he decided to hook it up to the HD cable of his TV, which made the PS3 default to HD mode and go to a different channel setting/Video Format.

My one friend took his Playstation 3 to a friend's house, who has an HDTV, so he set his PS3's image settings to the HDTV setting.  When he got home and used his standard TV, the image didn't work so he had to reset the image settings.
