Title: Clearly...
Post by: FluxCapacitorClock on November 05, 2008, 01:20:55 AM
The democrats fixed the election.
It was the liberal media's fault.
Not enough republicans got out to vote.
The media was too harsh on Palin.
The general population is a bunch of freedom haters.
The Lord is punishing us.
It's all the fault of the Black Zionists.

C'mon McCain supporters, I demand more explanations for this insane result.

Possible that now he feels as though he really can make something of himself. This is a huge confidence booster for most of America, but African-Americans especially. I'm happy. I'm happy that now, things will feel more equal to everyone. If an African-American can be president, they can do anything. Now they know that, and now whites know that too. I think this is the beginning of the final stages of integration and peace between at least those two races. Of course there will always be those who refuse to move forward and continue to hate like our friend RomanCollar, but now hopefully they will be the true minority.

ACTUALLY that black man really can go to college. Part of obamas plan offers college money for joining community or armed services.

Was he really so stupid as to think he couldn't before? Blacks have been successful for decades now, why would he need this to realize this isn't the 1960's anymore?

as much as society as a whole moves forwards, the republican party moves backwards.

in the next election, I wouldn't be surprised if sarah palin went on the ballot supporting segregation.

It might not have been the 1960's but that list looks pretty bleak for minorities all the way up until yesterday.
How is oppression only cast by how are presidents are? We have people of all races, men and women, who have made their mark in America as CEO's or congressmen or governors. I don't know what you think of America but it's not filled with a bunch of redneck racists anymore.

There is nothing to prevent one's rise but their own ambition.

Because the highest of the high have always been white. Always. Despite how high up black people could get, there was always a white person above them until yesterday. Which was terrible and I'm happy it's over with now. I'm glad that on January 20th, 2009 there will no longer be a rich old white guy in the oval office. I'm about tired of them.

before WWII, the only thing the republican party represented was a party that would stay at home, and help out the american people, and become isolationist, and stay out of the affairs of other nations, which they had so criticized the british empire for doing.

now, the republican party is intent on helping only the wealthy, running on a purely religious campaign, while attempting to police the world

They weren't always like that. That was a very short period of time.
From Lincoln to Taft, besides Cleavland, it was all republicans, and that was the era of massive expansion and imperialism.

Where in those definitions does it say anything about atheism? Where is there anything negative at all, for that matter? I don't know why or how some people think liberal is an insult.

I agree with the Republican party on the grounds that the government can't just hand everything to everyone.

People think they "have a natural given right" to things like health care, fact is that they don't. They have an America given right to it, and America doesn't need to be just handing it to them free of charge.

I'd more say that Huey is a preachy character than that the show itself is too preachy. With episodes like the Return of Stinkmeaner, I can tolerate the occasional bitching about unhealthy food or whatever.

Oh and it's a glass ceiling, not a glass wall.

it's not free of charge, it's from the taxes you pay, rather than go to the military, or to bills that encourage hatred between your brothers and sisters.

it's not a natural right that people have healthcare, but it is a natural right that people be able to make anything of themselves, everyone deserves to be treated equally, and deserves an equal right to live as happily as everyone else.

The Republican party's stance is that only the rich deserve to be happy, and that's not right, that's backsliding from a policy of helping every american. That's actually backsliding to a very bourgeoisie stance, right after the french revolution.

During the McCain campaign it was shown how much of the republican party's supporters were racists, and how many of them were so very very hateful.

Also separation of church and state has been a joke since the 1950s
