Holy Tits.

still looks really laggy. clunky.
unresponsive.
slow.
EyeToy for the PS2 is more impressive than this shit.
For now, I'll stick with my Wii.
What's a gesure?
By the way, this is cooler:

I can't see any kind of practical usage for that kind of mouse technology.

It's for people who want a Wii, but are too busy pushing for a Mac console to buy anything from Nintendo.
Mac always does this crap to try and milk money out of every semi-clever idea, even if they have to steal it. HEY GUYS LOOK iTOUCH YOU TOUCH IT NOT LIKE A DS. HEY LOOK THE iPHONE ITS LIKE AN iTOUCH IN EVERYWAY BUT ITS MUCH COOLER BECAUSE WE SAYS SO.
Mac only
wishes it was Nintendo.
Watch Mac try an iPod attachment that works by standing on a balance board, and shifting your weight as an alternative for the scroll wheel.

Useless but very cool.
Your arms would get tired surprisingly fast holding them out in front of you like that. Also, that kind of control would be really imprecise.
All in all it's a shitty idea with shitty execution.

ITT WreckingBallClock spouts half-truths and myths to support bias.
looks inferior to the swift precision of a keyboard/mouse combo.
You guys should know that this isn't really for games.
It just happens to work with them.
Browsing the internet with a finger instead of a mouse would be amazing.

Wasn't this supposed to replace the mouse like five years ago?

No, it wouldn't. Your arms would get tired, it would be less precise, and it would be slower. This technology has literally NOTHING going for it. There isn't a SINGLE good thing about it. Get over it.

Well I like it and that all that counts.

It seems to be precise enough to play shooters and quick enough to play guitar hero with so maybe it actually will work quite nicely.
I'm sorry but holding out your hand like a pistol and moving your thumb up and down to shoot is incredibly gay, not to mention very gay. and gay.

But for real, your arms would get tired really fast. Have you ever tried to play one of those arcade games with a light gun? Eventually it would deplete your accuracy. Maybe playing guitar with some kind of costume mouse wold work ok, because it is not parallel to the floor.

You probably can hold your elbows by your sides and just have your hands out. That's how I hold my Wiimote and it never gets me even relatively tired.
This thread reminds me of that weird thing i read about in PCGamer. Apparently some guys made something that goes on your head and read your brainwaves to do stuff. It didn't seem to replace the mouse, but other controls, such as selection and firing weapons were relegated to this contraption.
The guy talking about it said it was weird to actually blow someone up with his mind.
EDIT: i think i found it.

Combine that with TV goggles and you've got some virtual reality right thar.

Hey guess what.
The Wiimote works on the Mac.
