If you folks can make the effort to write shit for it, and read it sure. The real problem like all other problems we've had is a lack of work. Thus I choose not to make a vote.

I would! Just get regulars to do it! I was thinking of an annual edition containing the best stories from all the contests throughout the year! I'm not talking about from each contest, I'm talking about out of all the contests the best story/essay/poem/etc.

EDIT: Or maybe a quarterly mag! Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter!

Don't ask me, but I think you should! Add me to the list of willing contributers!

Moving this thread to suggestions. Now that I see from the polls, I don't think there's enough long term interest to keep it going.

im pretty sure people will write on it for the first months..weeks...days and then it will die

Well, the original TIEM was monthly (Am I correct? Please correct me if need be!). I'm talking about annually or quarterly to ease the pressure off the editing team!

Give it a little time, he made the thread 10 minutes ago.

I agree, maybe a quarterly Tiem with a lot of mod approval (read, mods/ admins make very visible links to the published Tiem in the CC BBS and lots of Tiem staff promotion) would be worth fucking with.

Also, it would give a lot of time for Clox, Clockfans and Clockfriends to pen their material. Plus there should be inside it separate sections or categories loosely defined (but not loose like a whore or it would become a mess) to create some kind of order/organization.

I have already tried to revive it a damn lot of times but everybody keeps telling me "NAAAAHHHH ZOMBIELINCOLN AND ALBINO GOT IT THERE SOEMWHERE SIT BACK"

And that's since 2007

EDIT: I am sure it won't die if you motherfuckers actually do something about it. I bet that no one that joined in 2007-08 doesnt even have an idea of how it works or how they can participate.

In other words, I am in, don't even doubt it.

How about this? Instead of having monthly magazines, we'd have a magazine every few months? That way we'll have a bigger magazine to show each time.

That's somewhat I mean by quarterly issues or annual issues. It gives everyone time, especially the contributers and the editors, and maybe hold an annual award for best essay/story/etc.

But what kind of mag should it be? Or was it?

We had articles of EVERY sort of kind, the main cheese was it was made all by clocks. You could write about thoughts, interviews, recipes, tutorials, make comics, reviews, points of view, anything.

That's how it always was.

Also one more thing. We need talented people to do the graphic design and format for articles. We are full of them at the ClockCrew but VirusClock is not that active anymore which was the main designer aside Leek (which isnt here either).

The writers however also have the freedom for adding their own images of course.

God knows. We need mod or supermod approval to do this or should we do it anyway?

The problem was never lack of content, it was all us powerful editor-types messing it up!

Currently we have a complete issue of tiem that just needs that page-turning mechanism - it's been sitting that way for months and months.

So yeah I'd vote start a new one with some more competent editors!

edit:  The latest one I did mostly in flash, and I imagine leek's (much better) designs were made in photoshop.

... and dedicated ones. I could serve as an editor, though perhaps doing the sorting of what to put in, what to take out, etc. More or less an organizer.

I think Flash and Photoshop was used on everything, could be wrong though.

I think it would be formal to ask supervision but last time that happened, well. I already said it on my other post above.

Though Absinthe seems to receive this well as long as we DO SHIT ABOUT THIS.

EDIT: Also what Lincoln said.
EDIT2: I remember Leek telling me that the page turning thingy is not Flash-based at all. Don't remember if he told me Renegade or Pineapple did it. Alas, we could make one from scratch?

I think Adobe Illustrator should be added to boot.

I'm indifferent. If you get enough people who can pull shit off, and do it consistently by all means do it. But if we can't get it done consistently it'll just be another cocktease of "Oh that was great, what happened to that?" And here at the CC we've thrown a lot of good ideas out the window. Like the haltman.

If you can get somebody to figure out how it was put together, and get a new editorial staff then definitely. What we need though is consistency, and we need people to be able to hold a fucking deadline!

Furthermore you don't need a moderator's approval to start any project ever. That's the stupidest thing you could ever think. If you wait around for staff approval to get things done you'll be waiting till you're blue in the face. My advice is be persistent about going out and getting the information to get it done, and then get the shit done. The staff are NOT the final decision makers as to what content goes on the website YOU people are.

If anything that might be why the site functions went a little downhill. If you want to get anything done here's what I suggest. You nag the shit out of Leek for information on how to do it, including the format for it... You gather the old articles, you start a thread asking for articles, you get the articles via your PM box, and you get a new team of editors to format the shit on pages. Don't bother with the red tape or any of that bullshit. If the staff is given something as valuable, as a new Tiem, and somebody is persistent enough they'll put it on the site. To do otherwise would be like turning down a free beer.

If you're serious about it then go for it and stop asking permission. If you're kind of on the fence, then I suggest you don't bother.

Well, Haltman would still be with us if we knew how to use him with any kind of scrutiny, wouldn't he?

But nooooo, we had to force redirect people to threads about dragons fucking cars.

For that matter, when you guys request something from me, I don't know that I've ever taken more than a week to get around to it. I got Pepper CAD posting permissions like 2 hours after he PM'd me about starting it up.

If you want new Tiem content made publicly available, I can hook you up, maybe even host it on-site. Just ask me.
I'm not 100% on that somewhat cumbersome page-flipper, but I don't ever want you guys to feel that any of your prospects are limited due to staff inactivity, and I'll help you as best as I can, whenever I can.
