Not in the demo.
However, my friend shot a guy with a sniper rifle and it ripped him in half.

Also, I love how amazing the game looks, yet the games runs so well.  They really did a good job optimizing the graphics.  I was just amazed by it.

just played through it

pretty damn good i say. a bit too messy presentation wise (too much was going on), and i would've loved a bit of a recap cause i didn't finish the first one but yeah, i wish i could've changed some video options to make it run smoother in game. it was bloody, gory and hectic. i liked that i could carry like, everything. i felt unstoppable.

also quite creepy

and the armoured suit part sucked but i never really like those things.

i doubt i'll be getting it though.

EDIT:
oh i forgot about multiplayer (obviously i haven't tried it) but it was really great in the first one and i'm sure it'll be even better in this one so that's sort of pushing me to maybe getting this

I liked the first half of the first game up until it stopped trying to be actually scary and just started to startle you and have things jump out from behind corners

Played it on release too. I jumped a couple times. The only thing I don't like is that you know when to expect a scary part, because the game is designed like this:

Slow-mo action FPS scene
Scary scene
Slow-mo action FPS scene
Scary scene
Slow-mo action FPS scene
Scary scene

etc...

Eh, in the first one there were times where the girl would crawl out from under a desk and shit during the middle of a firefight, and there were times where you actually had to do fighting during a "scary scene."

Well you can't really kill them but shooting ghosts makes them disappear. And they can hurt you if they touch you.

I love how so much of the environment is destructible. Especially when using the mech suit, you can just blow away walls and cars and everything.

I've played through it twice on normal and hard, and I still don't get it. What am I missing here? The shooty bits are sub-par shooty elements and the scary bits are so horrifically clishe' and predictable they're not scary at all.

I don't know, everyone has differing opinions on video games. What you find scary/fun might be totally different from what other people think. Just because it's a popular game doesn't mean you need to try to fit in and like it.

Nah, I know that, I just felt like I was missing the point or something. I mean, a lot of the game really looked nice and the controls were solid and all, I just didn't feel too impressed. Definately not a bad game, just felt a bit over-hyped. Then again, this is still just a demo.

Can't afford it at the moment, but I will definitely be getting it.

I just bought the GTA Complete pack on steam and I'm getting the Rome+Medieval 2 Total War before FEAR 2.

Yeah, I'm getting DOW2 after FEAR2.

Is there a pc version of Prototype being made? It looks pretty cool but I don't have a 360 or PS3.

I got the pc version, mainly because i already have a shitload of fairly new shooters for xbox (cod 4/5, gow 1/2, orange box etc) and not so much for pc, just ut3 and crysis really. Also i have the original fear for pc so it thought it would be nice to have 2 aswell:)
